We were nearly not going to stay here because of the many negative reviews, but found that at the very least the complains had been rectified, or some of the previous reviews had been petty to malicious. We asked for a garden room and were given one without any hesitation. We didn't think it was necessary to bargain the owner...

We spent one night in this hotel and it was ok. Quite expensive compared to other prices in the area but the room was clean and had a good shower, AC and a fridge. The garden is nice to relax, read and have a beer...It would be much better with hammocks to take a nap. Water in the fridge and...

Stopped overnight. Big rooms with everything you need. Lots of English speaking channels on tv for a change! Only criticism would be the broken shower head holder and no curtain- so you had to hold the hose to wash and the water went onto the floor if you weren't careful. Little fixes that would improve one's stay immensely. The windows...

I found this hotel not that bad and dirty and unsave as other people are writing. We had a room at the back of the building with a small balcony, AC and hot water for 300k (a bit overpriced maybe). The room was big and seemed clean enough. The bathroom is a bit run down, but did the job. To...

After a grueling drive from Buon Ma Thuot, I ended up in Kontum. I chose this hotel for lack of other (appealing) options in the city. From the front/street, it looked like a basic, relatively clean hotel. Once inside (after a tough negotiating session with the woman at the front desk for a fair room rate), I was taken to...

First thing to avoid confusion- Family Hotel is the same hotel as Family Garden Hotel (which has a different entry in TripAdvisor). This hotel is filthy, badly maintained and has appalling facilities (showers just dont work in some rooms). The garden hasn't been looked after and what once may have been interesting displays are now just dirty and falling apart....

I stayed here on a 12 day cycling tour. After a long, hard ride, we stayed at the Family Hotel for one night. By any sensible measure, it was the worst hotel we stayed during my trip. My main issue is that it was very dirty and didn't feel safe. I really don't know what the other options were in...

Wonderful garden out back and affordable rooms are available if you enjoy the bartering process... Sadly the staff seemed unenthused and disinterested. Overpriced minibar and coffees compared to local prices. Expect a cold shower and some invertebrate friends in the garden chalets. No talking in the garden after 9pm and don't bother asking the owner for any bus times/prices. Weak...

This was a nice place to relax in and around. They have a court yard with a pond and lots of trees. The rooms are clean and we received new towels each day. The kitchen was not working when we spent time there. The only drawback was the hot water was from solar power and when it's cold outside and...

We stayed for 2 nights in the Family Hotel. While the location is ok (10min walking from the market) and the garden add a lot to the hotel; we tought the family was not very friendly. Nothing bad about them, but they do not try to be nice and provide the services without any smile or happiness. I thought the...
