This place is a short distance from the mainroad amidst farms and is peaceful and quiet. The room is inside the main house of the owners. The room and bathrooms were spacious clean and comfortable. Mrs Jayashree the owner's wife is an excellent cook, the breakfast and dinners were very tasty. We purchased homemade pickles, sweets from them. Best place to stay for families.

This is a duplex big home owned by hosts where they rent 2 rooms at 1st floor. There is stairs from inside and some iron grill stairs from outside which is very uncomfortable especially for old people and kids. No Privacy at all No attached bathrooms ( 1 bathroom for both rooms at 1st floor) No TV Food is good Location is good You will feel like a house guest at some stranger's home.

Firstly I would thank Aditya for providing all amenities including transport facilities. Its an experience to cherish. we visited Girimane for our short vacation from where we planned to visit some parts of western ghats. We can call it a home not a home stay. Jayshree madam and Sir made us feel comfortable, we never felt we were away from our house. Morning breakfast was sumptuous especially hot dosas, saagu and chutney. Thanks to Chandru (Chandrashekar) for your lovely drive and co-ordinating our trip, especially a Jeep to Kodchadri and water transport. Overall I would recommend.

Girimane homestay is a true homestay in the sense that you get complete homely atmosphere with sumptuous strictly vegetarian yummy food. We were a group of 5 (4 adults and one child) and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We wanted to visit Sigandur and wanted to do a leisurely trip. Mr. & Mrs. Sridhar Prasad were very kind and helped us with all our needs. The rooms dont have attached bathroom. There is a common bathroom between the 2 rooms in the first floor. you have to go through the main house to reach the rooms. If you are planning to visit Siganduru and surrounding areas leisurely and enjoy the sylvan surroundings, this is the place. If you are a alcoholic, non-vegetarian or smoker, I suggest to avoid this place. They also sell excellent pickles of many mango varieties (like miDi mavu) & pure spices (including turmeric). Tastes great. We bought 1.5 kgs of pickles and still enjoying! :) I would like to thank Mr & Mrs. Sridhar for the excellent hospitality during our stay..

We stayed at this place for a over-night stay on the way to Sigandur Temple. We had a very good experience of the stay. Host (Shridhar sir & Aunty) were very good and kept us very comfortable. Few positives 1. Food has to be the best and top most positive of the place. Two different types of Akki roti and list of side dishes were very good and delicious. Actually, food would be a differential factor of homestay and it was the best of part of our stay. 2. Nature around the place is beautiful. We had a good walk in and around their farm and enjoyed it 3. Room was clean and sufficient for a small family 4. Toilet was clean 5. Location as it was very close to Sigandur (my travel route) 6. Uncle and aunty were very good and spoke about their way of life. They celebrated their wedding anniversary during our stay. My son and aunt became very close 7. Not commercialized as other homestays - I hope it will be like kept as natural as possible where we can experience their lifestyle which is the essence of the homestays. Few negatives, 1. Cot was not sufficient for a couple and a small kid. But room had beds to use it on floor (not an issue at all - Had the best sleep of my 4 days - 3 nights trip) 2. Navigation point was taking to different location. Not too far though. Few check in the shops nearby would lead us to the destination Overall, an excellent stay and experience. Thank you uncle and aunty for very good experience. We would definitely re-visit the place again.

I was initially skeptical to book this place as there were hardly any reviews. But once I reached the place, it was a different world altogether. The couple who run the homestay are very friendly and are very jovial. It a home with 4 bedrooms of which they rent out only 2 rooms, the other 2 rooms are for their personal use. Both the rooms are in the first floor and has an entrance from both inside the house as well as outside. However, we never used the outside entrance. They have a bathroom in the 1 floor beside the rooms. None of the rooms have a attached bath. Approach road is good except for the last leg - approx 150meters which is a small mud road. They have ample parking inside the compound. The property is also surrounded by a few localites, yet your privacy is guaranteed. This should make you feel secure. The property is surrounded by lush greenery. Back of the property is a typical forest, rest of the sides are cultivated land. They have their farm right of the home. The uncle is very knowledgeable and patiently took us around their farm and explained every bit of it. He even showed us how the end product of arecanut is made. It is located approx 20 km from sagara on sigandur road. This is 1 of the few homestays in that locality. Aunty cooks typical south indian vegetarian havyak style food. It is delicious and healthy too. She is very friendly and energetic too. Rooms are very neat and hygienic. They have ample extra bedding incase there are more folks. Rooms are quite spacious and have basic furnishings only. Overall, a excellent place to spend your time mainly because of the serene location and friendly host. Would definately recommend this to all kinds of tourists.
