location : though close to the center but the lane is not so good. cleanliness : dirty bedsheet, old dirty gamcha not towels. beds are really old. nobody there to shift your luggage to your rooms. hotel was practially emptr. very old hotel. if you are getting for 600 and if you are suppose to be a overnight stay then good. However Shimoga is a small place, and difficult to find good hotels.
Good place to stay in sanaman near to shivamoga bus stand good staff managing is good , nice place Beautiful rooms in good price Food is good taste Need to chngae food systems Like chats and snacks for evening time Its my suggestion
We had booked 2 rooms through make my trip for Jan 6th. When we reached Shimoga, we were denied rooms stating that they had discontinued make my trip booking. We were not allotted rooms even after the make my trip executive requested them to allot rooms. The hotel management behaved in a merciless way. We were made to run from pillar to post with my 80 year old grandmother during late night. We would recommend this lodge to anyone.
This is one of the good lodge at reasonable price and near to bus stand and railway station. Ambience, service, cleanliness, safety is also good. We liked it and overall it was a pleasant stay. Go for it.
It's very good hotel. Good parking place nice and sailent atmosphere. And they maintaing very good taste from the beginning also they have well lodge it's next to their hotel in the economy tariffs rates
Sanman hotel is a good place for your overnight stay. The hotel is located a liitle far off from the bus stand tucked away inside a small lane. It is about 1km from the bus stand in the city centre. The lodge is really old but it was clean and spacious. The room had TV and an attached bathroom with western toilet. The rooms are basic with completely old interiors. The blanket, bed and towels could've been lot more better. The mattress was really uncomfortable. There is ample space for parking and the area feels safe enough. It is walking distance from the nearby shopping market. The lodge is good and worth only for the money paid. Perfect transit stay place.
Maintainence was ok with poor infrastructure, tv hardly we get 50 channles and most of them local channels, cots were not good, rooms are old one.. near to transport facities, food etc.. doesn't get hot water all the time....
Tucked away in a bylane off Nehru Road, it is a bit hard to see, but easy to get to. There is parking on premises. Rooms are large and clean. Check-in staff were courteous and friendly. Hotel staff were very helpful, sometimes too much so in their hunt for tips, which can be extremely annoying. (Tipping is encouraged.) In-room amenities were excellent. We stayed in a room with three cots and two bathrooms, and it was more than adequate. Hot water was available from 5am onwards, though it took a rather long while before it turned up in the tap. But once it did, it worked fine for showers. Spacious cupboards. Dry towels and new bed sheets on request. There is an associated restaurant adjacent to the lodge which serves very good local food.
Was there on a short 1 day trip with my family. - It is a old property. + Location: Centrally located, quite near to the central bus station and shopping streets in Shimoga. + Worth the money: when we were here, it was 500 per room (2 people). The staff was courteous to show the different types of accommodation they have and let us choose what's best for us. They also suggested what we could do in and around Shimoga. It is an old property and would not be a good experience for those who wish for a sophisticated bathroom. For that matter, you would not find a shower and a western type toilet. However the toilets were clean. There is a veg restaurant below the accommodation which serves good lunch and breakfast. Parking space sufficient for up to 8 four wheelers. All in all, value for money. …
