The Queens Head in Chester le Street is a great place to meet friends gave a drink and a bite to eat. It has recently been re decorated and has seating area outside. We go at least once a week and we have never been disappointed. My favorite is the fish and chips with mushy peas. Unfortunately yesterday they ran...

We were looking for Sunday Lunch and were recommended this pub, we had intended to have the normal roast meal but found an extensive menu at very reasonable prices. I opted for my favourite Gammon with two fried eggs, chips, peas and tomato whilst my wife had Chicken Tikka with the price under £9.00 for the two meals. Service was...

Prebooked a Christmas Buffet at £9.99 pp and none of us was disappointed. Table set out in all the festive decorations and food (both hot and cold) put onto tables on time. Fabulous selection and so much given that we packed everything that couldn't be eaten into containers to take home with us so as to eat up tomorrow so...

Frozen chips in this day and age... really? Major let down when the corresponding food is so good. Not keen on the boards that the food is served on also, trying to make the place something it's not. Would also be nice if the staff asked you if everything was ok with the meals, perfect time to ask for more...

The food in my opinion was great, thoroughly enjoyed it. The bar staff were friendly and polite as were the serving staff. It was very busy as always ,which to me only confirms the pubs popularity, staff however were still attentive and saw to everyone's needs. Yes the place needs abit of a makeover however that shouldn't take away from...

The setup here is much as you'd expect from these chain pups - order at the bar, give them your table number and a waiter brings your food. Good standard of food and service and great value for money but the place is a bit tired. Paint worn off on the doors to the toilets, gents door sticking and not...
