third year on the trot for us - Magic Weekend event, great access to the Number 21, Angel of the north bus and in walking distance from Chester le Street rail station. Ideal place to stay for those who find the City Centre too frenetic and prefer some quiet time. Good bistro pub next door and walking distance to several...

Stayed for a long weekend. Easily the best Travelodge we have stayed in. Quiet location and a superb Vintage Inn with restaurant is attached to the hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable, plenty of car parking .

My night at this hotel was relatively okay, apart from the fact I was located on the ground floor. It was a bit noisey when guests opened the door to go up the stairs and one inconsiderate guest decided to pull their suitcase down each flight of stairs early in the morning. So I definitely would not recommend staying on...

This was our second stay here. We found the hotel clean & tidy.We only came into contact with one staff member during our visit and found him to be extremely helpful. The only criticism I have is that the toilet cistern was very slow in filling. Signage outside could be improve, we almost missed the hotel on our first visit.

We stayed for 2 nights, it is very convenient for Durham, Newcastle and of course Chester let Street itself. The hotel is easy to miss as there is no light and a very small, hidden Travelodge sign. Look out for the Church Mouse pub car park and this is it. We asked reception where to go for breakfast, and were...

Went to Chester-le-Street for the cricket. Very close to the ground and brilliant value for money. I will certainly look at Travelodge website when planning future trips. The Church Mouse pub attached to this place was very good too. Excellent food at reasonable prices and the staff were pleasent and helpful.

We enjoyed a fantastic night stay here recently (sadly it was only the 1 night). We had a very large and exceptionally clean Family room, which overlooked the quiet fields to the rear of the hotel. All 4 of us had a great night sleep after a tiring day and drive down. We ate in the 'Church Mouse' which again...

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Reasonable value for money. We had to borrow a hair-dryer. The reception staff provided one immediately. Very convenient location with plenty of parking. We will stay there again as long as we have to visit Durham from time to time in the next couple of years.

This was a small travel lodge attached to a local restaurant so it had the feel of a small family run hotel, very comfortable would highly recommend. If you want to get the Newcastle nightlife this is not the location but if you are visiting on business its ideal.
