Very nice and clear rooms. Food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it. The breakfast buffet was equally as good.

It has been an amazing experience. This was the kind of getaway I had been looking for since so long and the resort provided me with that. The beauty of the place has it's own charismatic feel and after a tiring day of trek and fun, the resort gives a perfect relaxing end to the day with delicious food, cleanliness and a comfortable stay.
Must visit place.

Well built room blocks, great views, but not entirely functional (a bathroom with a fully covering door would have been nice), poorly functioning sanitary ware and intense lighting fluctuations. The bed linen was texturised to the point of looking uncomfortable and poorly cleaned. For such highly priced rooms, not a single toilet paper roll was to be found and we were over charged for basic amenities like water.
Food was terrible, immensely substandard for any price and worse still, the staff was completely mis coordinated with the most basic services. Being a hotelier myself, I think twice before writing any poor review as I know what that means for a hotel’s listing, but this was an all time low.
It is evident that this place was built with reasonable taste, but left to abject negligence afterwards. Not really worth your time, money or effort, lest it is really worked upon.

We are very well traveled and after having stayed in all kinds of hotels in Himachal/Spiti and all over the world , I would rate this one as possibly the worst I have stayed in. Some lowlights of our 3 days stay here below
1) Service : Absolutely pathetic service. They have built a good looking place and left the management to be done by first timers who know nothing much of managing a resort like this.. food orders can take hours. Tea will come first.. sugar after an hour, food will come first, cutlery can take another 30 mins… basically everything about the service is completely mismanaged
2) Food : Desi halwai style oily food only available here. While menu has Pizza, Pasta etc which we ordered, it almost seemed like Pasta in Paneer Butter Masala gravy. Repeated requests to make our food less on spice and oil as some of us were unwell were never paid heed to despite all the yes’es when the orders were taken
3) Hospitality : This would be the lowest point of our stay. Some of us were unwell and repeated requests to give food at a certain time were never paid heed to. Most good places try and go out of the way when they see unwell guests but here the only efforts they made was to get us more angry and uncomfortable.
4) Design : This place has basic design flaws. Why would you put a chandelier in a 6ft height room. Every time one gets up, one bangs into it, It’s a matter of a few days or weeks I see all these being broken by repeated headbutts by guests.. bathroom has faulty design also as no convenient place to keep toiletries etc. Lots of outdoor seating but no umbrellas in an area where sun is sharp
Overall a very bad experience. Such a lot of investments done on building a unique resort spoiled completely by cost cutting on service/management

+1
A must visit. The place in itself is such a beautiful one and Spiti Village Resort just adds to your comfort and luxury. The view from the resort is so mesmerising that it looks like someone kept a beautiful painting in front of you. And the food at the resort was too good. It was surprising that we could get such delicious food at such secluded place. The resort has its own in house bakery, so you get fresh cookies, bread, donuts, etc.
A highly recommended place.

Me and my wife had gone to the Spiti village resort in Aug. The resort is one of its own kind completely made of mud and wood. Overall stay was excellent, right from the room, to food, to staff. The owner and staff are pretty cool and helped us with almost everything we needed even at 15000 feet. The staff also gave us delightful dinner experience, a amazing surprise, when we were the only guest at the resort. The bonfire was also an amazing experience and the view of the river and the mountains from the room is amazing

The property is situated with a gorgeous view from all 4 sides, though the weather is harsh the mud houses are extremely comfortable & luxurious. The food & the service provided by Ankit and his team needs a special mention. Food was delicious!

Had a great experince in spiti village resort. Amazing views of the spiti valley. Food and service is really great. Ankit was really very hospitable and made our stay pleasant. One thing that can be improved upon is the availability of hot water...as the solar water heater in our room was not functioning and we had to get hot water in buckets.
Overall a great experince.

We all group of 5 people visited this resort in spiti which totally changed our experience in spiti. They believe in giving seamless service to there guest. Hats off to the owner Sumit for his hardship to built this place and make his dream come true. Food is something which makes huge difference to the overall experience and they have done right. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting spiti.
