We stayed in the lodge for a few nights and also did a 4 day trek. Both sections of the trip were sensational. The whole family are incredibly friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. We loved all of the food and couldn't believe how the quality stayed so high even when camping! A wonderful location - secluded and beautiful. We'd love to go back! The family also organised two days for us in Amritsar with a local guide who was particularly good and sorted everything - hotel, transfers, night train. This made for a very relaxing holiday. Thank you!

Orchard Hut is a hidden gem nestled deep in the mountains with breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains. However, to wake up to this celestial landscape you must do a short hike to the homestay accompanied by a porter to carry your bags. Every single step is well worth it in order to wake up to the sounds of nature in a beautiful Himalayan eco-friendly home with all the necessary amenities. The moment I arrived I was warmly greeted by the patriarch Prakash Dami surrounded by his loving family including his wife Sneh, his son Nitin and daughter in law Maureen, his other son Vinayak, his daughter Phalgun and 2 grandchildren Rupash and Krishna. Soon after the family invited me to participate in a traditional welcoming Himalayan ceremony and then presented me with a beautiful

I went to the Himalayan Orchard Homestay and couldn’t get over how secluded and quiet a neighbourhood it was. We stayed 3 nights and didn’t see many cars or people. Our hosts Mike and Devanshi run a great space and their attention to detail made our stay very memorable . Devanshi bakes breads and makes her own preserves and her Mum cooks the most delicious pahadi lunch... kudos to you both , and I’m looking forward to sending many friends and being back soon

This is a great hotel maintained by a family. After you reach ( which is a long journey ) you will feel like you are at home. Owner of the property consider you as part of their family, they will make sure that you get a great experience at the property and will also make sure that all available comforts are provided to you So let's come to the point as to what I liked in the property and what I would suggest as improvement areas First, what I liked 1) Great food, don't miss local Himachal Rajma dish if you are at this property 2) Books:- great collection of books with a reading area facing the Himalayas :) 3) Feel of staying on top of a mountain 4) Well maintained and clean rooms 5) Friendly staff 6) I would recommend this hotel if you would like to stay in a hotel

The kind of hospitality the Dhami family provides is so fantastic you never want to go home! Staying at the Orchard Hut offers a truly authentic and beautiful experience that captures everything you would want from a trip to the Himalayas- peace and quiet, a place to relax and rejuvinate in a natural healthy environment away from the noisy towns - (which means a bit of a walk up the hill, but it's worth it!) an amazing selection of home-cooked local food with flavour but not over spiced, trekking options whatever your level of fitness, yoga and meditation, a natural spring pool to take a cleansing dip, visit the local Chamba town, then come home to a comfy bed with soft pillows. The whole Dhami family combine a high level of education and modernity with humble down to earth
