Stayed at Sunotel Saputara on Christmas’21. The Property can easily be called the best in Saputara with spacious stylishly designed and furnished lobby and the guest rooms. The restaurant served all type of food and had a great variety of recipes for breakfast of good taste and quality. The staff very courteous and always looking for any queries or assistance you need. The pool on the tenth floor terrace is cool and provides a panoramic view of the whole of Saputara which can be had from nowhere else. In short a very memorable stay. Would like to visit again whenever I get to do so.

This is our third family trip to Sunotel. There is always some thing unique to stay at Sunotel, very curtious staff, always helpful. They always devise innovative ideas to keep the place very attractive and staff effort in commendable in this regard. I highly recommend families to stay at Sunotel and enjoy the experience

Just happen to book this Hotel for Three Days. But after spending Initial days decided to extend our stay will Diwali, which eventually Mr. Vinod (Reservation Dept ), happlily obliged even though it was a Peak Season.The Host Archana, Gem of a Person always with a smile, always makes sure of best of the services offered. Also enjoyed doing Rangoli with Soniya & Team.We stayed in the Sahyadri rooms, on Top Most Floor Lake facing..Mr. Das the GM greeted with Warmth & Introduces us to the whole Concept of this lovely Prperty.Mr. Rahul, offered the best of the best services with complimentary Coffee.The Best in Saputara to offer the World Class Hospitality Experience. The In House Restaurant has finger licking food with Smiling and & Generous Manager, not to be missed the Complimentary Mouth Watering Breakfast,also The Humble Chef Mahender,offering Authentic Food with his Personal Twist.The View from the Top Floor Swimming Pool offers a full Panoramic View of the whole Saputara.Even a person can spend the whole day with view from balcony or from the Room.The View from Higher floor is just Breathtaking.The Interior decor is mesmerising.This Property is finely decorated in detail overall. This hotel is one of the biggest and also well maintained hotels of Saputara. The reason we chose this hotel was due to rooms size and also the grandeur which we saw in the pics - which the art pieces and the reception area they have tried to replicate a branded 5 star property.
The place Saputara is so small that you can actually look at most of the locations from the roof top swimming and spa area of the hotel like the lake,garden ,ropeway etc.
Now coming to : Rooms : We had 3 rooms booked and they gave us the rooms on the 10th floor and facing the lake & garden. The bed was king size but too soft if you aren't used to it it could cause uncomfortable sleep. The TV had limited channels and a large L shaped sofa and shair near the window overlooking the lake & lake garden. No bathrobs but slippers was available. All rooms were clean and comfortable overall.
Bathroom : Overall a clean bathroom which had all basic toilateries of their label and all were average for usage. There was shower in the rooms alloted to us.
Room Service : The staff was very dedicated and was keen to give their best service. We used both housekeeping which we called for late (9 :30 was really late for this place) but we got the required with a warm smile. Even service by the restaurant was good. It took minimum 30 mins however to get the order.
Restaurant : There were limited items which were offered on the menu and the food was above average. Also the breakfast buffet has decent no. of spread including couple of local Gujarati snacks. There is also a outside seating area whcih we could not use much as it was raining mostly during our stay.
Others & Misc : The hotel has a open ground near the slope parking area. Pool is on the roof top and it was quite dirty & no temperature control so it was quite cold as it was cloudy and rainy during our stay. We in fact had to call the housekeeping staff using the "spa" intercom phone (only intercom phone on that floor) to clean the pool and to open the changing rooms - which was quite dirty with dust accumulated on the floor.
Overall one can see the post covid impact that there could be limited staff hence the part not accessed by the guests much was not kept upto the mark. But considering the prices they charge - it is expected to be.

The location of this hotel tells it all. The view from the 10th floor which houses the swimming pool is just amazing. Due to covid the swimming pool is closed.
The rooms have balcony option in the lower floors and upper floors come without balcony. lake view rooms should be preferred.
We stayed in room #917 and is very well appointed.
The amenities in the room are equivalent to 3-4 star properties.
Only thing which needs to be worked at are the in-room dining service. After multiple calls and a 2 hour wait we finally had to give up ordering food and cutlery clearance. This was very annoying specially if guest have children and senior citizen. We finally settled for snacks that we carried for the road journey.
Sleep quality is very good.
The vegetarian breakfast spread will satisfy many taste bud and is well planned.
Go and enjoy your stay at Sunotel.

We had a mixed experience at Sunotel, Saputara. While the entire property is breathtakingly beautiful with an excellent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains and town, not much thought appears to have been put towards the room design and amenities and specially the front desk staff.
To begin with, trying to speak to the hotel staff for room enquiries was an absolute nightmare. Either the lady who received the call(I assume it was the front desk) was not proficient in either Hindi or English, or had no clue what was to be shared. Twice she blatantly disconnected the call after uttering a single incomprehensible word.
Check in process was smooth however checkout wasn't. Wifi was not working for most part of our stay there, but that can be blamed on the tower malfunction at the time.
We had opted for the Dang room which itself is vast and cozy though funnily designed. You would not find a single drawer or a compartment where you could store your small objects like watch or charger. There is no minifridge though shelf is present for the same. Basic items like hand towels, room slippers were not provided in the room. On asking for the same later, the house keeping staff promptly delivered them. The food menu for in room dining was missing. The restaurant staff insisted on scanning some non existent bar code under the TV for the menu. Later they did provide a simple printout of the menu.
Restaurant staff is the most courteous of all, pleasant and friendly. The food itself is strictly okay types with not much variety throughout. We also had an unpleasant experience with the first night dinner where the dessert spoons were actually unwashed and had leftovers from earlier use. A very unhygienic and filthy experience!!.
The checkout time is 10 am and surprisingly breakfast end time is also 10 am which is a bit odd. For checkout, we had specifically requested earlier night for a late checkout and were told that the latest we could check out was 11a.m. We called the front desk at around 10.45 am for the bellboy to collect the luggage however no one turned up for the next 15-20 mins. So I personally went to the front desk to inform them about we checking out and Ms. Deepti at the front desk made a weird face asking if we had really called for the bellboy. Trust issues duhh!! I informed her that we had "really really" called 15 mins back and since no one came, I personally came to inform. She was still interested in knowing if I had called before. Not a kind of behavior expected from the front desk personnel. Felt unwelcoming!!
All in all the property is nice, if only some attention was given towards basic room amenities and staff training, this place could be wonders.

You had a great experience staying there .. The room and the whole hotel is very good. It is also advisable to keep a side step outside the bathroom in the room so that the room does not get wet and dirty. And eating is also good. If you can do a little better, good. It was a mistake booking a room for two days in this absolutely horrendous mess called Sunotel. We didn't even stay for the whole 2 days. We checked out from our room after 1 day itself as we couldn't bear the torture anymore. I am listing reasons for our insufferable experience with photo/video proof wherever I remembered to take them. We reached by early evening and took a donut from the lobby's bakery display. It was stale and dry and probably leftovers from the breakfast buffet. After heading to our room we tried to order some snacks as room service for our kid but we were told that they are busy preparing dinner so they can't serve anything apart from bread butter and french fries. We ordered the fries which didn't come even after waiting for 45 mins after which we had to cancel it and head out to eat something. The basin in the bathroom was cracked and leaked water whenever we used it. The next day, when we went for the breakfast buffet, there was a tremendous waiting time as the breakfast timing window was too narrow. The way of getting tables for yourself is very haphazard and poorly managed. You have to stand near the tables to get one for yourself by guessing which one is going to be cleared first. After finally getting a table to ourselves, we had to wait for 10 more mins near the buffet counter where the plates are kept because none were available even after requesting multiple times. The breakfast was as bad as the service. Dry and hard idlis, bland food etc. Soap dispensers in the washroom near the dining area were broken too. When we came back from outside, we weren't able to unlock the room with our key. They made multiple keys for us and even used their master key, but still the door didn't unlock. They had to get some kind of machine to plug into the locking mechanism to unlock the room which still didn't unlock it the first few times they tried. They gave us a bunch of different nonsense reasons every time. This happened with multiple customers in the hotel and everyone was angry and frustrated like us. Over the course of the day, this happened a total of 3 times with us and every time we had to wait outside the room for 30-45 mins at a time for a total of around 2 hours while they figured out how to open our room door. By this time we were really frustrated and angry at the hotel and its incompetent staff and prematurely checked out, enraged at the treatment received by us and other customers. The check out experience was not any better either. Nobody came to our room for 15 mins after calling. So we hauled our own luggage to our car to get out of this pathetic hotel. The check out procedure took another half hour filled with apologies and empty promises. We requested to meet and complain to the manager regarding everything that we went through, but he didn't meet us even after the half an hour we waited for him. The hotel is charging premium room prices for lodge level services. Thank you Sunotel for the worst vacation experience of my life.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Food is very tasty and we enjoyed our stay, we will surely come again. My child enjoyed housekeeping service with his new friend Akhtar And reception staff is also very much helping and understanding.
