We visited Chitrakoot hill resort in October 2021. Overall, it's a good place. Good food, it has a garden, a small indoor game zone, a swimming pool, and a parking area. The water in the swimming pool was clean. However, need to watch out for the bees. The construction is old, rooms require renovation. The resort is very close to the sunset point.
Though we were not staying at this Hotel, we visited their Thali Restaurant. The thali was the best with reasonable price. The service for also nice. A definite visit for thali when at Saputara for meals.
We went for dinner to chitrakoot, they had 2 varieties of thali, the gujarati thali and the punjabi thali. I would definitely recommend punjabi thali for people who generally like spicy food. Thali is around 145 Rs. I would definately visit it in the afternoon to get the scenic view.
We stayed here for 2nights with family. Near from Saputara Lake, Table point, Sunset point. Well maintain resort and swimming pool. Food was yummy on every time, they serve Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner including Room rates. Recommend this resort.
During our monsoon visit, we went to their restaurant for lunch. They had different thali meals like gujarati thali, punjabi thali, limited thali, unlimited thali etc. Our group tried punjabi thali & unlimited thali. Food was not bad. Quick service. It's a big restaurant. Approach road has some steps to climb, so it can be difficult for a person with knee problems. Also due to monsoon, one has to be careful. It's not in the main market.
After a hectic sughtseeung at Saputara, we visited Chitrakoot to hav the Gujarati thali. Quite a few steps to reach the restaurant. The place was neat..beautuful.flower beds. THALI was just very tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely coming back on our next trip.
You are greeted by an entire row of night blooming jasmine which makes it so pleasant and peaceful if you are coming to the hotel in the evening. The hotel is located right at the start of 'Sunset Point', opposite Toran Hill Resort. The services are satisfactory, the rooms are good. The view from the hotel is quite great too. The entire hotel looks colorful and vibrant because it has a lot of trees and plants. It is refreshing, as you enter and take a stroll. The food in this hotel was great. A walk to the main market is just 10 minutes away. Step Garden is on the way as well.
Chitrakoot is a well known Hill resort at Saputara. We had been to their restaurant to have lunch once. Their restaurant is located strategically and you can get a beautiful view of Saputara lake from the restaurant. They offer Gujarati & Punjabi thali at reasonable price. The Gujarati thali has two price variants. We had 2 Gujarati and one Punjabi thali. Gujarati thalis are readily available and they take some time to serve the Punjabi one. The Gujarati thali was good.
As you travel towards Saputara you will see the sign boards of ‘Chitrakoot Hill Resort’ by the roadside, and the directions of how to reach there. It is on the main road very near to Sunset Point. We decided to try out their Gujarati Thali which they advertise for Rs.139. We parked outside their gate. It is actually a decent sized hotel with a very well planned campus and layout at different levels. As we entered we noticed the gardens with lots of trees and green foliage, with life size replicas of animals like elephant, deer and chital. There was a nice playground for kids, and they have a swimming pool as well. Their dining room was on the first floor next to the reception. It was well laid out, neat and clean though not air conditioned. We got a corner table next to the open windows overlooking the gardens and the hills beyond. Their simple Gujarati thali had two vegetables, dal, chapatti, rice, papad and pickle. We decided to have their special thali with additional farsan and sweet dish, which costs slightly more. Punjabi Thali and ala carte dishes were also available. The food was good, without extra oil and spices, and tasted like home food. The service was also very prompt and friendly. We quite enjoyed our meal. Although we did not spend the night here, we liked the ambience and surroundings of the hotel, and made a mental note to stay at Chitrakoot Hill Resort on our next visit to Saputara.…
