We stayed in this cosy resort in early March this year for three nights. This beautifully maintained property offers luxury tents and staying here was a happy experience for all of us. We had booked 3 tents as it was a family vacation. Each tent has all necessary amenities including an AC, attached bathroom with geysers, small kitchenette for tea and coffee, etc. The property as well as all the tents were extremely well kept. The bathrooms were also very clean and well maintained. Each tent has its own small backyard/sitout area to unwind. The staff without exception was very efficient and courteous, and the food was quite tasty.

Special mention of Mr. Ashwini, the owner of the property, who is personally present on the property and is always available to assist the guests or for a friendly chat. While we were there, he helped us with arranging all our safaris by getting them booked for us are very reasonable charges. His son Mr. Akshat was also extremely helpful with the booking process and guidance on the phone during the drive.

I would also like to mention that this resort appears to be quite lucky when it comes to tiger sightings. Almost every guest who stayed at the resort when we were there had a sighting, including us.

Please note that the last few minutes of the approach to the resort is over somewhat uneven/kaccha roads; however, the road is not such that it causes any discomfort or damage.

Madho Bagh is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. We would certainly look to stay there when visiting Ranthambore in the future.

*Madho Baug*

So when travel eased up we wanted to take our kids to a not so congested place and close to nature. After looking up a lot of properties we chose Madho Baug in Sawai Mashopur, Ranthambore. This is a small family owned property with 8 tents. Believ you me this place mesmerised us. From our checkin to checkout we had absolutely no issues. Being tents we expected a few bugs but to our surprise the place didn’t have even one mosquito. Well maintained rooms with comfortable beds. Temperature went down to as low as 4 degrees but the bonfires and heater in our room kept us warm. The food was excellent and since we wanted our kids to try Rajasthani cuisine the chef was kind enough to cook it for us.
However the cherry on the icing are the father son duo Ashwini Dewal & Akshat who own the property. Gentlemen to the core. Very warm and welcoming host and I would say went out of our way to ensure we got to see a tiger before we left this beautiful place.
Highly recommend staying at the wonderful tents of Madho Baug for a unique experience close to nature.
If given a chance we will definitely visit again.
Thanks you Ashwini Ji & Akshat once again for all the hospitality . You made us feel at home.💐🙏

Stayed here post Diwali in oct 2022.
Akshat and his family were an absolutely amazing host.
From seamless booking of rooms to helping us to book safaris, everything was very smooth
The property has only 8 tents and we occupied 4 of them
The rooms were beautiful with best possible service
Special mention to chef anand Rajpal for providing us with amazing meals for all 4 days. We had 3 kids, and all their food demands were fulfilled without any fuss
Also 5 stars to chef helper Dilkhus, F and B service guys premshankar and mahesh and house keeping guy giriraj..all were an absolute delight
Cultural events was also organised for a night which was really good
Would highly recommend this property if planning a stay in Ranthambore

Bad experience in this place. Extremely incorrect and incompetent manager. I had booked through him a safari in the afternoon and one the next morning (he had confirmed that they were available). Upon our arrival after 4 hours by car and wake up at 7 o'clock he tells me that in the afternoon there is no more availability without giving me alternatives, no excuses, no minimum reception. Only after a long discussion did he offer me paying extra (which he admitted "were used to bribe those who run the safaris") an expensive and short safari. The whole thing was very unfair and illegal. Despite this I accepted and the result is that I found myself in zone 1, 1 hour of lap, and 0 tigers seen. The next day I went on another safari (not in the area I booked) in zone 6 and 0 tiger views. I threw away a lot of money and time for nothing. Upon check out he checked that my deposit had not arrived (sent correctly 4 months before). He charged me extra fees and commissions for safari bookings, increasingly dishonest. This place should close or change management. So if you don't have a reservation for safaris (don't ask him why he can't) DON'T come here, there's nothing to do, it's a boring place. I hope customers read this review carefully so as not to have unpleasant consequences.

Amazing experience.
Location is great. Entire surrounding is green and filled with vegetation. It offers a mountain view where one can witness a beautiful sunrise too.
The hotel was less crowded and had just 8 tents and the rooms inside were spacious and well conditioned. Service was also good. An ideal location for camping.
Also the canter (safari vehicle) picks up and drops from the hotel gate.
Really enjoyed our stay.

The property was awesome. The owner, Mr. Ashwini was very helpful and looked after our every need, including dropping me early morning to the safari vehicle pick-up point. The resort is green, peaceful, quiet and the chef and other staff are wonderful - the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed lying on a charpai in the garden and enjoying nature. The owner's handsome German Shepherd, Simba, was a delight too. Overall, a great break and we got to see a tiger on both days!

It was a pleasant stay. From the owners (akshat ji and his father) to the ground staff everybody was so welcoming. Food was good, home cooked and delicious. My son was not feeling well, so the cook prepared his food separately as per my preferences. It was really peaceful and we enjoyed our stay very much. We booked the safari and was able to spot the tiger in the first 15 minutes only. Tent house was clean and no issues there.

Fabulous facilities and staff! Great location, 5 minute drive to Ranthambore Park. We had stayed for single night. Extremely good stay , TENTS are spacious , clean , well maintained; bathrooms were clean. Service is the greatest advantage, prompt and yet to your specifications. Food is just great , hot and fresh , low on masala yet very tasty. Chef is very accommodating while we request absolutely raw foods for kids which he obliged. Mr. Akshat is always available to help, support and cater to one's need of the moment or day. Very confident leader and team. God bless you all. Would love to come back. Thanks to you all for your kind hospitality. Best regards. Very very comfortable stay. Highly recommend..

Away from the crowd and noise of a city like Surat from where we came for family holidays,we found madhobagh an ideal place to relax in serene and calm surroundings amidst the beauty of nature and wildlife.
It was such a wonderful feel we had staying in nice tents with good facilities sitting in quiet of jungle listening to occasdional sound of birds and leaves. owner has purposedly not provided tv in tents so that we give more time to nature.we were delighted to have such amazing homely atmosphere chatting with family and friends at campfire setting.
The food was also delicious and we specially enjoyed local Rajasthani delicacies like lal maans and gatte ki sabji. Ranthambhore is famous for its tiger safari, wildlife and history which delighted us specially children enjoyed a lot,the fort has a great history of rajputs and great monuments. We found our host a very friendly and knowledgeable person who narrated historical tales related to this place
Staff here is also very cordial and ready to help.
Children also enjoyed the holidays much and were excited to know about the many plants and home grown vegetables and had many questions which host answered readily and in detail.
All in all this is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday vacation for whole family which gives a home atmosphere and is value for money place as prices are affordable and reasonable.
We recommend this to all our friends for a pleasant family vacation.
