So many times we have paid more for less. This hotel is just what you need after a day on the road, with reasonable tariffs and good food, we recommend it. Much better than booking with a chain... IMHO. Things may be getting a little THREADBARE, BUT the overall cleanliness makes up for it - the owner is also very...

Certainly not somewhere we would have stopped had we known what it was like, however we had pre booked and so were stuck. Out in the middle of nowhere with no facilities within walking distance. The whole place is very tired and that includes outside. Food was less than average and the steaks very tough. The rooms had seen better...

Only problem withthis one is that it's not actually in Auxerre but 10 km away. That said the decor is naff and the surroundings industrial but- lots of free parking, adequate breakfast, comfy beds and very cheap. 35€. Above all the owner is dead helpful. I couldn't find it at 11.30 pm after a day travellin gand he provided clear instructions....

Rooms are quite dated - bathroom had a cracked sink - charge for a dog was €8 - the most I have ever paid and a real rip off. Dinner was a set menu at €18 but not good value and rooms are better and cheaper elsewhere. Noise can be heard from adjoining rooms. Very simple breakfast.

On the plus side, this place is quite easy to find from the motorway, cheap, and serves quite good food in the evening, all of which is good if you just want to get a roof over your head and get going early the next day. On the negative side, it is located next to a builder's yard, it charges...

You get what you pay for here. Small, old rooms with thin walls. No night time reception. Very simple breakfast of croissants, coffee, cereal and yoghurt. It really is just a place to sleep off the highway and nothing more. Travelodge, Motel 6, Campanile standard, at best.

This hotel provided us with a large, comfortable room. The furnishings were out-dated but clean enough. There was ample parking and a restaurant on site. We did not sample breakfast. The location was convenient for an over-night stop-over or a visit to Auxerre (though you would need a car).

We usually travel from Belgium to the South of France with a couple of overnight stops en route - avoiding the motorways and sticking to the D roads. This trip we decided to stop off for one night and complete the journey much quicker than usual. We chose the Pressoir because it was easy to find, and it provided good,...
