We stayed in this hotel May 13-20th. Time absolutely stands still, and the outside world does not matter. This is the reason that you need to go - blue water, palm trees, and all your problems are thousands of miles away. There are two other reviews from this week, and I had similar comments. The resort staff strive to provide...

I stayed at this resort for 4 days during my honeymoon in Rangiroa and it was amazing! We had a pool villa and it was beautiful, comfortable, and the private pool was really nice to have. The AC worked well and the decor was modern and beautiful. We went diving everyday so we didn't miss the ocean views and wanted...

Upon arriving at the airport, which is very small, we were met by staff from the Kia Ora. The resort is larger than I thought and has beautiful grounds. We had stayed in an overwater bungalow prior to coming to the Kia Ora and I was prepared to be disappointed. I didn't have to worry. We stayed in one of...

If you want to get away from it all, this is a great place to go. Rangiroa is a one-hour plane ride from Papeete, Tahiti. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful with lots of palm trees and greenery. There are three types of rooms: over-the-water bungalows, beach bungalows, and pool villas. We chose one of the nine over-the-water bungalows....

This place is sooo close to being 5-star -- the potential is there, but execution is lacking. Having to sleep in a puddle of sweat is a deal-breaker. I had bungalow #51, if memory serves. It was on the leeward side of the resort, so in spite of being oceanside, it got very little breeze. The 2-room unit has A/C...

This is a superb resort. Beautiful spacious bungalows, perfect bathrooms. Private Jacuzzi on you terrace. 2 steps from the lagoon. You are met for your free of charge transfer to and from the resort. Service is excellent and more than friendly. So why the "but"? The food. We had the buffet dinner night and the food was far and far...

Great small hotel on a beautiful atoll. We had a pool villa, it was lovely, large with private pool, outdoor eating area, outdoor bathtub in the garden. Very comfortable room. The food was good at the dining room, fresh fish excellent. We were on the freighter Aranui coming from the Marquesas Islands, got off the ship and stayed here for...

This is our third visit to French Polynesia; our first to Rangiroa. We book our trip with Melissa from Beach Bum Vacations. She was very supportive every step of the way. All transfers were included and seamless. The Kia Ora is a gem. We stayed in a Villa with a private pool. It was very luxurious. The water was crystal...

Wonderful views! Friendly people! Next time we may try a beachfront room.... We had a private pool with our room. Meals were wonderful! Not a ton of stuff to do on the island, but if you want peace and quiet, this is your place!
