I went to Surya Rock Rose Resort on a weekend and it was indeed a bliss. The location of the place is amazing, as you feel close to nature. Amazing hospitality and the food is delicious. All facilities are provided and they are in complete perfection. An ideal place to spend your time. Double thumbs up for this place.

Starting with location - bang on Kalka Shimla Highway about 7 km before Dharampur. Look out or you will miss it. Excellent location. Property in itself is beautiful. Nice rooms, indoor swimming pool, indoor games - lots to do. Food was really nice. A little onthe 'rich' side, but you can order according to your taste. We were 17 people and stayed 1 night on 11.05.2015. We all thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

This is a resort you are bound to fall in love with!!! A serene, calm atmosphere with a picturesque backdrop is what awaits you here. The hospitality and cuisine out here are just mind blowing. Everything about this place is perfect. One can always spend few days here before heading off to other destinations. Additionally, this place has some brilliant packages and the rates and tariffs are quite reasonable. A one of its kind...if you have not been to this place still - stop thinking, pack your bags and have a great holiday!!!Thanks Surya Rock Resort for all the hospitality!! Will visit again!!

This resort is simply a beauty without brains. A resort without hospitality. We - 3 adults + 1 child (3.5 yrs) went to this resort this weekend for 1 night stay. Rates were finalised on CP plan with full advance payment. Since we wanted to move early to Delhi, we confirmed before booking the time of breakfast and we were told that its 7am to 11am. The property is beautiful, nice location. But only that is the good part. The swimming pool was dirty, the water not clean, the surroundings not clean. Even that was not a problem with me. The door knob of bathroom was broken and you only had the option of a door hinge which was on top of it. No problem with that too. No light in balcony. No problem. The extra bed linen provided was not clean, in fact it was dirty. We got it changed. No complaints with that too. Everything fine.
Oh, forgot to tell - 2 cockroaches.
They mention wifi but they don't have any wifi!! Remember that. No wifi.
But the real mazaa started in the morning. No tea available before 7am, no tea/coffee maker in room. In hill stations, by chance, people like to see sunrise and sunset and tea can easily accompany sunrise. Ok, I understand the staff needs to sleep too. But then, you provide tea/ coffee maker!! Ok, you have road side vendors outside na :)
Now, the climax - the breakfast. They say we serve it not before than 9am. Great. But we mentioned beforehand that we will leave as early as possible after breakfast and you told the timings too!! Then 1 person comes to our room that we can cook paratha, omelette and poori bhaji from the menu if you want in 1/2 hr. I said that I will order on phone. When I phoned and started ordering, the person on other side was too good. He said that we are allowed limited quantity and I can't order more than 3 items. Oh really!! Like from when one person can't have 2 dishes in breakfast and that too in a 3 star property!! 1 child is complimentary doesn't mean that child doesn't have a stomach. Complimentary means you will provide him food but without extra charges. And what did I order - paratha for kid, 2 poori bhaji for 2 adults and 2 omelettes for my husband. Is that too much? What do you eat normally? 1 toast with tea? Really? Then eat it but at your home. Don't open a hotel/ resort if you can't provide for your guests' needs. I don't want to eat at such a place which counts each and every bite of yours. To hell from my end. The price is not less. You charge good amounts!!
We took the extra money back and checked out instantly without breakfast never to return back :)

It was a memorable holiday spent at this resort. awesome weather & open lawns make my weekend unforgettable.
Staff was super helpful. Food was great, be it breakfast or dinner.
I spend almost 2 hrs sitting in the lawn with my family. it was a touching moment, feeling close to nature. The place is totally calm away from any noise.
A must visit place. easily located on kalka simla expressway. Dont forget to watch toy train passing nearby(visible from resort lawn)

Went with friends to Rock Rose Resort, Beautiful Property with delicious food. The manager and the staff were hospitable and made the whole stay blissful. I would not hesitate to recommend the resort to my family and friends.

This is a resort, the property is very good, well maintained. The location is good. Its on NH22. Its 11 km from Kasauli, however there are plenty of options available for travelling (bus, cabs etc).
The staff was courteous, helpful and professional.
However since this is new property, there are rough edges in terms of service. But overall its a good place

I have stayed in this property many times and I must say that you can't get a deal better than this anywhere.....the rooms are above average and the lawns and landscaping is the main USP of the resort.....food is also good and main thing is its on the highway.......
