It was built of wood in 1957 and is now a protected historic building. Luisa (a keen supporter of the natural environment) and James (ex USA) speak perfect English, so there is no language issue – both are extremely welcoming and helpful. The building has character and the lounge / dinning room is always warm due to the log burner,...

We arrived after a very long and dusty trip on the motorbike and Casa Ludwig was a very welcome sight. The Casa is a large, wooden building with only 10 rooms in various configurations. We also stayed a week later on our way back north, this time cold and wet and it was wonderful to relax in the large common...

The owner-manager, Luisa Ludwig, will arrange local excursions to the hot springs or the "Hanging Glacier". Must make reservations in advance during the...

Lisa and Jamey are wonderful hosts and attend to all your needs. Although located in a small town on the Carretera Austral, it was a most pleasant stay due to Lisa and Jamey's attentiveness and friendliness. Easy walk near the sea and very good breakfast

Casa Ludwig is in the village of Puyuhuapi, a must-stop, must-stay location for anyone exploring Chile's Carretera Austral. It gives you acess to Queulat National Park and other place sof tremendous natural beauty. Casa Ludwig is sort of halfway between a B&B and a small hotel. It is clean safe, silent, well run. It even offers Internet access, a great...

We stayed here for a few days in the "shoulder season" of April 2011. Unfortunately, it rained most of our time in Patagonia, but this little guest house was a gem! Very nice common area where breakfast was served, plenty of music, nice big fireplace. The rooms are beautiful in all wood with comfortable beds. Jamie hung out with us...
