Great Resort, Awesome food, staff is cooperative and soft spoken. Overall a very good property with pool , spa, jungle location.. I would strongly recommend to go to this property . Thanks Acorn team for wonderful holiday.
The property mentioned was 5 star But it was a disappointment. It should have been 3 star only. Specially food was not up do the mark neither in variety nor in taste. Also they charge quite high for stay we gave 41K for two family suits 1 night stay. Even other resorts having 3star provide better service.
So we were at Nainital and decided to have a stop by at Jim Corbett aswell during our trip. When we went to book we realised that this was the only place which had rooms available especially the number of rooms we needed so we went ahead and booked at Acorn. It's located pretty deep in a unpaved road so be really careful while driving and it's advisable to get a car with high ground clearance and we luckily had an SUV so no worries for us. I could have bargained for a better rate but was too occupied and it costed us 20,000 all inclusive for a room which had a living room , 2 bathrooms , 2 bedrooms and all the meals included for a night. The property is fantastic and is really beautiful with its incorporation of nature everywhere which didn't seem like with the other properties nearby . The others looked more commercial or new age as one may say. The property is vast and has alot of activities likes gym , spa , table tennis, trampoline , swimming pool etc. There are monkeys here but they are very tame and don't disturb the guests or anyone for that fact. Infact the monkeys were really cute ! The property also has ducks which roam around freely and were really cute aswell. Our room was nice but certain maintanence like the TV remotes was necessary. The bathrooms especially in the master bedroom was great , it was massive and had all the necessities. The bathroom in the smaller room was also very good , just not as big but big enough. The small room had 2 beds and the master bedroom had a queen size bed aswell as all the bells and whistles like TV , electric kettle etc. The hotel says no drinking which idk is applicable only in the public areas or even in the rooms as people were definitely consuming alcohol in their rooms and I personally think it's acceptable. We checked it very late and had missed our lunch buffet but the front desk was informed and they did keep some food for us to have once we came in . We were served well with Rajma, Paneer , Palak Corn , Rice , Mix Veg and some rotis. Everything honestly was pretty homely and delicious. At evening they have a high tea by the pool area where they had tea , coffee and some potato pakodas which were good. For dinner we went to the dining hall where they have a buffet. Guest can also order in their rooms and have quite a good options of food. At first we had thought the place only serves veg food but we at the dinner buffet we realised they also serve non veg. The Kolhapuri Chicken for dinner was fantastic with a good kick of spice and the mushroom curry was also great. At night they turn on the lights and it feels really relaxing and fun. Some trees were wrapped with light and were really beautiful. Next day we had the breakfast which was fantastic again . They had very very tasty food and the masala cheese omlette , sausages , poha , Puri aloo etc all were on point . We had a wonderful stay and would have given 5 star but not due to a few things - it's not a 5star property in my opinion and the accomodation for the driver isn't good . Apart from that the tiger safari they offer isn't very good (location isnt the best and price is decently high) and the hotel didn't inform us about pre booking a proper safari. The service was very good and people were very cordial . Most of the front desk staff and the bell boy were very truthful and they only informed use that the safari maynot be worth it especially in the area we would have gone for in that season.…
Very unsafe to stay here with family. I was there for 1 night only but that was very horrible boz some one knock my door at night 2 a.m. even my land line also disconnected from backhand. We were very scared but later we know that manager and all staff member were included. Request you to dont plan to go there.
The approach road to resort is in very bad condition. They say its under forest department so they cant lay road there but at least u can fill the potholes . Its the last resort on that road.once u get in you wont dare to come out because who would like to suffer on that road again and again.Resort is okay but for the price paid u can stay in a five star. Food is good but prices are very high. Roti is priced at 50 rs naan at 85.Basic dal makhni is priced at 400. I think high prices are because guest have no option to go out and have food outside.Room size is good .Bathroom doesnt have any hooks or even soap stands.on 27 march there was water supply problem in many rooms for 2 hours. Imagine u have have to wash with bottle water.Pool is clean but even management cant do anything when winds are blowing and leaves are falling.I could use pool only once in my two days stay.…
We paid ₹20000 per night for this hotel but it is not worth it, it’s standards of facilities, amenities and service are more of a mid level hotel ( not worth more than 5000-6000 per night). Location is average and cleanliness of rooms was very poor. It is run down with peeling wallpapers, hardly any amenities in the washrooms
Hi, I was there with my family during 2022 Holi for 2 days. I initially thought its a 4-star property post-checking reviews and all but it was not, that was highly disappointing for us. Starting with Cons first 1) Rooms were poorly maintained. AC was broken, lamps were tilting at one corner, bathrooms were shabby, the fridge doesn't have lights so you will not understand whether its working or not. The room freshener diffuser was not working. And for this, i complained on the very first hour but it was not corrected till checkout. 2) Common washrooms near the dining area was smelling like public toilets. 3) Not much for kids, slides got rust, the jumping pad was torn and seesaws were broken. 4) Amenities - Pool table has one stick only even that, not in proper shape rest all were broken, Badminton net was torn, same with TT. for exercise only treadmill and cycling one. 5) Food - No live Kitchen, limited options in buffet even in breakfast and dinner like in breakfast one south indian ( Dosa or Uttapam not idli even), Tandoori aaloo paratha or poori bhaaji, chocos, eggs, breads and cake muffins with tea or coffee 6) Balcony - Spider web was everywhere, wood boundary walls were broken at many place. 7) Drinks - Don't have any drinks card, you have to carry it by yourself and they don't mention it even and if u need from them they are charging 300 to 400 for kingfisher light and even you have to ask someone for it. Pros if left any 1) Swimming Pool - is good and clean and large with almost 5.8 ft height and for kids they have separate. 2) Offer Free Evening Snacks with tea or coffee and one snack ( Smileys or pakoda we got) 3) Good for Night walk inside the campus, properly lit. 4) Hotel Staff is courteous Summary- All they need proper maintenance, since you spend 8K above its not at all worth, Approach road is in very bad shape…
