Down a dirt track on the edge of the forest lies this little gem in Corbett. It is actually a Hide-Away from the hustle of the other more popular belts near the river where every property sells the Kosi river.
Lovingly made, cosy and peaceful is what this property seems. Gives you an old world feel with nicely done rooms spread across verdant landscape that's very dense at places. The trickle of water and birdsong greets your mornings, and the twilight sparkles with starlight.
Food is nicely laid down in the diner style restaurant that's compact and has a certain personality in the wooden ceiling. Right next is the large poolside with a smaller pool for kids. And the Spa area completes the facilities with a mini gym and recreational games, both for adults and toddlers.
And yes, they have tents as well for the adventurous who want a true jungle stay! Overall, Acorn is a place you'd love to come again and again, both for the wild ambience and the hospitality...

I booked 2 Acorn suites for 2 nights. Got a great deal on Goibibo. Initially I was a bit sceptical because a lot of other properties of comparable amenities were charging a bomb.
My friend and I , along with our kids enjoyed a breeze of a stay in the resort.
Plus points-- picturesque resort, Hospitable and courteous and Cooperative staff.
Rooms, pool, spa , lawns, activity zone , everything is nicely maintained.
Food quality is high.
The only downer, if it can be termed as one is the fact that the in room dining food options are a little less . The snack bar was not stocked.
Apart from that it was a perfect stay.
Would definitely recommend my friends and family.

We came with our family for 3 nights and 4 days and stayed at the Acorn resort.
We had kids under 5 years of age and their untimely food requirements were fulfilled.
They gave personal attention to all our needs and always carried a smiling face.
The staff was very flexible to accommodate any of our needs.
The chef Prakash was very friendly and Methi Malai Matar was the exceptional.
Suggestion- Recreational area could use some improvemnet as TT bats were broken.
Overall it was an amazing experience and we will definitely recommend this place to everyone across all age groups.

Pros: Children Play area, Nice jungle ambience.
Cons: Room amenities, Staff Behaviour, Costly Food.
I know lockdown has been tough, but if they are running a hotel they should keep costumer first. Took us 8 tries to get a bottle of water. Was so tired slept off without water. Also during check in my keys were not given and even in that it took them 45 mins to find it. Food was costly for such little quantity, but the biggest disappointment was the road to the hotel which is an off road track. So if you're vehicle is not capable to cope with such road then don't take it.

It is not at all matching with what you pay I have paid approx 16k for 2 nights ( incl breakfast) and cleanliness is zero, property needs maintenance, you need to call multiple times for room services and other requests.
Coming to the food , its not at all worth to what you expected at this price. Rooms are not at all clean and hygiene is not being taken care at all, washrooms are just not properly maintained.
My suggestion would be toe everyone reading this review is dont think of staying here until you have all the resorts booked in Jim corbett, as you would be wasting your money here.

I take an oath that whatever I say will be true :)
Lets talk about the +ve things..
1. The property is very lush green with enough area for kids and adults to roam around and enjoy.
2. The pool is decent size with rubber tiles around
3. The room rates are decent
4. room size is good
5. there is NO AC for the one bed that you get in the room.
6. Room has a balcony and huge windows
7. The staff is decent and helpful
8. They have some pets like Ducks, Dogs and Cats
Now lets see some negatives.
1. There is no road from the highway to the resort it just stones pebbles so if you are driving a low floor car avoid this resort and we are talking about 2 kms.
2. The parking area is not monitored one of our cars returned with windshield cracked and the CCTV was not working as per hotel. The other car got scratches
3. The room service will try to allure you. Let me elaborate every room has a good night plug into with the liquid bottle attached. However when I saw a mosquito sitting on top of it out of curiosity I unscrewed the bottle and the wick was broken (So the liquid never evaporates and if you will look at it you will feel the bottle has liquid and its working). So i called the room service and he got another machine for me, I opened the bottle and the wick was broken in that too now after being caught red handed they gave me a sealed bottle. Also, there are mosquitoes because its a green and moist area.
4. The price of the hotel may look low however the food will be costly than your stay :) I have attached some bills for your reference, and to give you and idea....
a) Bisleri (1 lts) - INR 50
b) 2 Egg bhurji - INR 250
c) 1 roti - 50 (Size may amaze you as you can eat it at once)
5. The staff is negligent : My laptop bag was not been delivered to room it was kept at reception and no one noticed it I had to go and locate it.
6. The SPA is super expensive INR 2500 for 45 Mins (This includes your 15 mins of bath time)
7. The rooms on first floor are not that good, they are hot and the ceiling in inclined
8. The AC drips water in rooms, we had 4 rooms and all were same.
9. The hotel is far from Jim Corbet so, if you are planning to have some better views drive a lil further.

The property is very beautiful , you would feel refresh waking up to the beautiful garden view. They even had activity zone which is a good way to energise and spend quality time within premsis. The best part of this hotel was food. since the number of guest were less ,they had limited options in buffet but it was delicious.
The points that they need to work upon
1. The 1km stretch of road on which the property was located, it was very bumpy ride
2. The maintenance of room, the washbasin had cracked and required little cleanliness
3. The major problem that we faced, if you are thinking coming along with your driver then please be prepared the dormitory/ staff washroom was not at all maintained it was filthy

We paid ₹20000 per night for this hotel but it is not worth it, it’s standards of facilities, amenities and service are more of a mid level hotel ( not worth more than 5000-6000 per night). Location is average and cleanliness of rooms was very poor. It is run down with peeling wallpapers, hardly any amenities in the washrooms

Booked for a weekend through Agoda, but the staff Pragya at the property denied accepting this booking. Later after spending 2 hours coordinating between the property and Agoda, got the confirmation from Pragya that now we can come as Agoda has made the payment. If property had issues with Agoda they must have unsubscribed from their portal. Why to harass the guest who made the payment.
By this time, mood have been spoiled and we decided to cancel the visit.
Surprising fact is the hotel staff himself suggested to book through Agoda as deal is better and later some other staff denied accepting the booking which was later acceptable.
Bad experience. Glad that got to know about such customer service even before checking in - wasted my weekend but saved further horrible experience that might be experienced post checkin.
It’s all about the professional treating you and hospitality shown from checkin to checkout that makes the real experience, not the brick and mortar property.

The Resort is located on location which is almost disconnected with the main road which is full of big holes . Their reception is the worst example of hospitality. As after you reach there after such a rough trail and ask for anything they are irresponsible. For ex we asked for a birthday cake and they forgot it when we asked for midnight birthday celebration and then we asked for safari availability in the morning and they said we reply by evening and contact you . But again no response. Property has got old and maintenance is just to sustain. In this price they dont even provide basics like bathroom slippers or toothbrush .
