Located towards the end of Jim Corbett National park at the start of the road to Ranikhet. We reached Mohan area around 8pm and called the resort for directions. In a few minutes Mr. Ansari's men came over and guided us to the resort which meant driving for about 100 meters on the riverbed to reach...a short nice adventure!!
Thereafter it was all fantastic. The lodges are well built and being only six in number you never feel crowded and there is ample space to either be on your own or mix with the other visitors especially at the evening bonfire.
A pollution free environment with birds chirping all day long with 360 degree view of the Jim Corbett Jungle and mountains. The entire campus boundary is electric fenced which is set on during the night to ward off any wild animals.
The Best Part is the polite service by all the staff and the imaculate spread whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I had initially booked for three nights and then proceeded to Ranikhet...missed this place so much that stayed one more night while returning.
I strongly recommend this place for visitors who love a jungle ambience and peacefull vacation.

Exxcellent location and wonderful hosts makes this resort a great choice to stay and unwind yourself from hustle bustle of city life. Sounds of birds and sunlight during winters. Since there are only 6 cottages, one can never feel crowded.
Food is excellent. Just that for vegetarians, may be 1-2 dishes can be added. Choices feel very limited sometimes. Would certainly like to come here again.

Visited this property with wife and kid. Very nice getaway, great landscape and river nearby makes it a go to destination.
You share the same landscape with lemon tree which is next to this property by paying almost double the cost.
Cons:
Just the washroom area and the bed mattress need some upkeep and better management. Gave this feedback to Ansari ji and he shared the stressful times during covid and plan to renovate it fully soon. Totally understood and valid.
Pros:
With just little compromise on the point mentioned above, rest everything is just fantastic,
Very nice cottages with jungle theme
Peaceful environment
Great food - I was positively surprised and appreciated the chef here, simple and very nice food with decent spread. My kid enjoyed it too.
Surrounded by hills and near by river will make you visit here again and again.
Final verdict: This should be the place for nature lovers, peace seekers and foodies!
Loved it and will visit again asap!

Camp Riverwild has always been an experience which we loved to revisit again and again. This has been the third visit for my family and will continue to be our favourite destination. Mr Ansari and his warm and welcoming family have carved out a beautiful resort in the midst of nature. Just six cottages to maintain the exclusivity of the place, awesome cuisine personally supervised by Mrs Ansari, mornings filled with birdsong, the whistling of the breeze and sound of gurgling Kosi river ushers in so much peace and tranquility that it is difficult to stay away from at least one visit every year. Every person right from their manager Puranji to all others serve you with a smile. The wifi and connectivity is superb with great promise of a staycation too. Extremely grateful and our heartfelt thanks to Mr Ansari and the first lady for such a wonderful stay.

Excellent location near the river. Quaint and beautiful newly built cottages with all amenities. Expansive outdoor area, with hammocks, bonfire area to spend quality time with nature and your loved ones.
Homely food. Service staff was good and helpful.
Presence of monkeys could be off-putting for some though it was manageable and nothing scary at all; guess, at such locations it's pretty much a given and part & parcel of the location.
At 6K+, during off-season (property was rather vacant), price seemed a little on the higher side though, given there are no amenities like pool, recreational items, etc.

Cannot thank the Ansaris - the owners, Hemaraj the caretaker and all the other staff at camp Riverwild enough, for making our stay wonderful and secluded in these times of the pandemic. The property is huge but has just six huts which means one gets the feeling of having the entire property to ourselves most of the time. A newly built approach road has taken care of the previously reported 'hassle' of getting there. All the bigger resorts around us had tons of cars and people and while they must offer loads of comforts I am sure , there is nothing to beat a safe experience like camp Riverwild in my opinion. The main stream of the river is about 100 metres from the property and one must visit but frankly you could spend the day inside the campus as well birdwatching or just sitting and listening to the sounds of the jungle. A word about the food- its is freshly cooked, homely and just keeps on coming in copious amounts. An absolute delight to have been here and will return soon hopefully in better non covid times soon

I visited this place for second time after a gap of 3-4 years and I shall say this places continues to maintain very high standards of hospitality.
Mr And Mrs Ansari as usual were there in the evening to attend and spend time with guests. Would definitely visit again.

Corbett has dozens of resorts, hotels, and lodges. But we chose Camp River Wild after due diligence. It had to be a small boutique place keeping in mind Covid. So just 6 rooms is an ideal place. Besides it was important that the place had to be pet friendly.
Due to heavy traffic we arrived late so had missed the lunch. But the Camp called us regularly to check on our whereabouts, and guided us to the Camp. The moment we arrived, we were offered a satiating welcome drink. Ansariji was personally present. The team immediately showed us to the rooms. And that was followed by delicious and variety of snacks. Mrs Lubna Ansari also met us on arrival to check about our meal preferences. We were at ease within minutes, it seemed we had come back home after a long time.
Sitting by the fire and listening to the wildlife experiences of Ansariji was a delight, and enlightening. Food at the Camp is real special. They have variety, and are flexible with time.
The rooms are very well done, and just what you need in the wild. I was so happy not to see TV's in the room. That gave us time to sit outside and listen to bird calls and even alarm calls of Chital and Sambar deer in the morning and late evening.
We have decided to visit the Camp again and again. Yes, the staff is very courteous, hard working, and prompt.
Well done Lubna and Ansariji.
Warm regards
Sharad

We ( 2 x couples) spent two days at Camp Riverwild last weekend.
Had a wonderful & exhilarating experience. Beautifully done up cottages have a nice view of the Kosi River.. well spaced out with beautiful lawns.. We booked a safari to Bijrani Zone and had an amazing trip..
Mr & Mrs Ansari are wonderful hosts and live at the property itself. Mr Ansari's anecdotes about the flora & fauna of Corbett kept us happily engaged, as we enjoyed the bonfire evenings..
A special mention about the staff who took care of us in a wonderful manner is very much in order.. Rajesh, Puran, Anand and Nanhe were oustandingly efficient, yet most humble...
Overall an Outstanding & Memorable experience.
We wd definitely be back.. Looking forward..
