I spent one day and a night here, the rooms are neat and clean. Staff are courteous and attended on request. The restaurant attached to the hotel rooms in a convenient for family for breakfast or dinner.

The food is ok and not so great. Much over hyped restaurant. Car parking available. We ordered poori and chapathi. The chapathis were stale and just reheated. The poori was good with potato masala. Overall an ok ok visit.

Idly sambar vada was excellent. Poori also was amazing with its potato masala. Quality of excellence. I was for a day in vellore with family. This hotel has enough parking we had break fast and dinner. Both was good and tasty.

I am amazed how a restaurant cannot allow a family to use its stove to heat food for an infant. They say its their policy!!! So much for being a successful restaurant. What good is mere good food if the service is not child friendly.

This restaurant is run as a franchisee arrangement but the quality is superior to the restaurants in chennai. The staff are courteous and even helped us out to re heat some food stuff for my son. We had been to CMC for his treatment.

Stopped on the way to a temple with family for lunch. Though very crowded expected the food to be better. It was very average. Service was very slow and poor and the manager apologized for it sighting the crowd! They should have more waiters!

This is my first trip to vellore Saravana bhavan in thottapalayam . I was suppose to catch my shatbdhi train from katpadi to Bangalore by 7 pm . Since I had enough time I asked by driver to drop to Saravana bhavan which is towards old city . The land mark is it is close to "Dhina thanthi" office in Arcod road .
I asked for parotha and with that I was served with cauliflower kurma with chutney and onion Raitha . There is no doubt the food was awesome and typical Saravana bhavan punch was there in quality . I went ahead for curd Wada and mushroom fried rice as parcel for my train dinner . Later we had a cup of wonderful filter coffee too .
This is a great delight for real food lovers who travel from Bangalore to chennai and should not hesitate to take a turn to old city to enjoy this if time is really not a matter during the travel . Moreover it is worth coming even if you spend little time to bye pass the highway . You have enough parking space and it is pure vegetarian hotel . There are separate area for AC / non AC and it really does not make any difference . Overall good place to visit for any time food breakfast , lunch , evening snack and dinner . They offer South Indian , North Indian . Chinese and chats and fresh juices

Saravana bharani is usually synonymous with good quality food and great ambience. But the vellore saravana bhavan manages to serve ordinary stuff at a stiff price. The lunch that we took last week seemed sumptuous looking at the variety but the taste was unsaravana like. Quite bland I must say. The real saravana touch was missing. And the tea they prepare is best given a miss. The second cup that they readily brewed turned out to be even worse. I think in every respect location wise, price wise and taste wise it loses badly to other restaurants like aaryas and durga.

It has been the worst food experience. People go there for the brand name and get cheated. They serve very poor quality food. The place was also not very clean.
