This hotel is a genuine historical building as opposed to a modern one built to look old and as such is a very interesting place to stay. There's no wifi in the rooms but if I remember correctly it works in the restaurant (sort of). The food was OK, with very friendly service. The rooms and bathrooms are enormous but...

Spent 2 nights here to break the journey between Jaipur and Jodphur. Fortunately we were in a car as nothing larger could have got through the village streets. Once through the Palace gateway you are in a different world with similarities to the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Large old palace over 300 years old. Maintenance is obviously a problem, with...

Nimaj Palace is located at the back wall of the town of Tehsil Jaitaran. That sounds like a strange description but after the hotel there doesn't seem to be anything else. We were on a tour for two organised by an unscrupulous tour operator. When we turned up at the hotel they weren't expecting us so they gave us a...

We stopped here for a night to get some rest from the road. It's about 80 km before Pali located in a village called Nimaj. The palace is huge and is 350 yrs old. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are huge n clean. They even let us use swimming pool at night. The food was also amazing at a reasonable...

the manager was very helpful showing us a local Jain temple and antelopes via jeep and even welcomed into his family home when we went for an evening stroll! The rooms were spacious and clean and the owner's daughter i law gave us a fun cooking demonstration which the children loved and they have cooked the recipes at home since

Off the Jodhpur Ajmer highway is this little gem from the past, a serene, quiet old haveli welcoming weary visitors. The road leading to it is narrow passing through Nimaj town and we got a bit apprehensive but once inside the gates, we were in another world. An expansive old-world haveli, charming and peaceful. Our room was so large one...

Beautiful family run haveli! Come to experience the life of a feudal aristocrat. Don't miss the chicken shammi, keema & laal maas which are superlative. The thousand year old ruins of the Kalika temple are also a must see for archeology buffs.

So please be prepared. the rooms are spic and span and the aircon works very good. There is a pool. If you are going there please inform them about the food in advance. We...

This Heritage Hotel was one of the highlights of my stay in India. Our group spent 2 nights here, & it is set in the village of Nimaj & we were taken through the village to the hotel in bullock carts, which was such fun! The village children followed us laughing & playing & the Palace is an incredibly interesting...

After getting out or our bus and walking through the small crowded streets of Nimaj, we turned into a beautiful courtyard with a beautiful white palace. Our room was huge and quite fascinating with cushioned alcoves overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom was enormous and the room was cool and comfortable. We had a cooking demonstration, a dance and a dinner...
