A family of 7 including a one year old travelled to elephant camp this October. Dubare inn was booked in a hurry without any research about the place, since we wanted to stay next to the camp. And this turned out to be one of the best home stays I have visited! Mr Prashanth Shenoy and team are very hospitable and helped us through the 3 day stay at the deluxe rooms. The rooms are very clean and amidst birds. If your travelling with family this would be the best choice. They have cottages by the riverside which is suitable for a group of friends. Throughout the stay the only drawback was unavailability of restaurant in the resort but Mr Prashanth never let that delay our meals. As per our orders , the menu would be delivered on time to the room, everytime!! Since the owners stay right below the homestay, we were allowed to use their kitchen. On the whole we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it in future!!!

The cottage was charged 3000 rupees and perfect to stay alongside the Kaveri river. Just opposite is the Dubare elephant camp (Motor boat to elephant camp - 30 Rs per person, Entry to elephant camp - 30 Rs per person, Elephant bathing - 100 Rs, Elephant feeding - 30 Rs), rafting (We did not go as we had kids to take care) and horse riding (Rs 100 per ride of 50 meters). You get nice food in the Dubare Inn itself. Easy to find the place.

The resort ( route.. from Kushalnagar to Madikere road take left at Hudehosur, approximately 10 KM inside) is on the banks of river cauvery just opp. to Dubare elephant camp. They are having 4 independent cottages with enough parking facility. You can park your vehicle just in-front of your cottage. Location - Just adjacent to river and fully protected Food - A small but tasty restaurant is available with yummy south indian dishes ( for dinner they will take the order and prepare the food since most of crowd moves out the place around 7 PM) Room - Good room with hot water facility Attraction - River Cauvery...Till 7.30 AM it's your own..safe place to have bath and play...people movement starts from 8 AM only Best Part - Excellent support from the hotel management team..Mr. Shenoy, Mr. venkat

We had booked this place on a friend's recommendation and we have to say we were not disappointed. It is a stone's throw away from the river bank. The river flows absolutely next door and you can hear the beautiful gurgling sounds of the flowing waters at night when you sleep. The cottages are nice. You can park your car right next to the cottage. The late morning time the river bank gets crowded with people turning up for visiting the elephant camp across the river. But if you stay at this property, you are at the closest vicinity to the elephant camp. If you are an morning person, you can easily visit the Dubare camp early in the morning at a crowd free time before people start to arrive. They also have a small restaurant inside where you can order food. Food is simple and decent. But the best part of this place is the late evening time, once the crowd dies down - you can enjoy the company of friends and family on the river bank.

We stayed at owner Mr. Rathish's residential complex in one of the new guest houses. It is absolutely a beautiful, clean and peaceful place with an evergreen garden. A worthy place!! The house is just 500 m from the river front. The restaurant is at the river front and the food is excellent. The service is top class.

The resort has just 4 cottages, all by the banks of river Cauvery. The river just flowing outside the resort campus. Very beautiful place. Unfortunately, since this place is close to Dubare Elephant Camp, tourists flock in the holiday season and during weekends and totally spoiling the charm. Stay is very average. Hot water geysers are fitted in the rooms but none work. Rooms are clean. Food is below average. The cook loves salt so much he puts it in every dish in abundance. Location is a big plus if you go during week days and not during vacation time. Another plus is the reasonable rate for the resort.

I took the decision to stay in Dubare after reading trip advisor, really a very good place with decent food and accommodation. Venkat is very helpful and friendly. He is also a very good guide. The best thing about the resort is the gurgling sound of the river cauvery which can be heard in the cottage

Before i started to coorg,I had read all possible reviews. I was tired by the time I reached bylakuppe monastery. Had lunch at Malaya hotel there. Was surprised by the taste.roasted corn outside was fine. My children wanted some more but I had driven further. Was confused a bit because of very hot weather, if coorg is a hill station or not. Any way on the way i selected this "Dubare in. It is just at the end or by the river. Suddenly my family started bustling with activity. My two very naughty cuties got a horse ride arranged by the caretaker here. I had a sound sleep break.when I woke up the sound of the river was amazing. Food was ok. Coffee and tea was good. Reasonable rates and good ambience. For me and my family this was a good place. I have decided to come back again here (dubara inn).

We stayed in the cottage as a family. The inn is situated besides the river Cauvery. During day time you can walk across the road to the river and enjoy the water like you do in a theme park. Walk across the river to visit the Elephant camp or by a raft. Enjoy homely food and the hospitality is excellent.
