We spent 3 nights at Deodar. Longing to go back again... unforgettable moments What a location...enjoy breathtaking view of entire valley and Snow capped Pir Panjal mountains . Highlights of our stay: Spick and span rooms with Tibetan culture artefacts around Ever ready helping staff.. special mention to Raju Hanut, the owner... Enjoyed our conversation on various topics Delicious food... as good as cooked by mom Evening Bonfire Chirping of birds early morning with serene surroundings View from Paraglide of the entire Khajjiar valley Roger the dog.. most friendly and docile animal... escorting us every time to the valley without asking💪🏽 Thanks a lot Hanut... my regards to your mom
The location of the property is its USP. Amazing views of snow capped mountains bang opposite the property with paragliders completing the frame so perfectly! The peace with melodious birds chirping around while inhaling that fresh mountain air is unparalleled. Our room was basic yet v.spacious with amazing views & a connected front deck/common seating area to soak in the valley. The meadow & Khajjiar lake is walking distance from the property but I won’t advice anybody to visit in winters as the grass of the meadow is all brown & not that lush green as seen in pix on d net. U might get a different more beautiful white frame though, if u get lucky with snow, which we cudnt witness but again with snow comes other challenges of immobility. The caretaker Raju was of great help in…
Deodar Manor is a perfect property to stay if you are visiting Dalhousie/ Khajjiar . With the magnificent views of Pir Panjal , this property has an old world charm which makes the experience even more delightful.
It was very pleasant and comfortable stay @ deodar manor. Host Mr. Haunt is a gem of person..very knowledgeable and friendly, loved his Canadian accent..Won’t get better place in Khajjiar, 100 mtrs from meadows and excellent view of dhauladhar range from the bungalow..there is good arrangement of bonfire.. rooms are spacious and with gracious heritage look..food was awesome and home like..they have less rooms so it’s more of homestay and not hotel..Thankyou Mr. Hanut for being such excellent host..
Visiting a place during covid times makes us rethink about our decision so many times, but trust me staying in Deodar Heritage was a blessing. The staff is supremely caring and super cautious for cleaning and sanitizing things. The view and food is amazing, no other hotel can beat that. It’s a wonderful place to rejuvenate yourself. Our decision of staying in Khajjiar instead of Dalhousie was perfect.
