Our three nights at Chateau Ormes de Pez exceeded our expectations. The Chateau is in a small hamlet in great proximity to some of the most storied Chateau's in Bordeaux. Our host was Gilles who was very friendly indeed. Gilles is also an accomplished chef who provided us with a delicious daily breakfast in addition to a gourmet meal on... More

Our overnight stay at the Chateau was delightful. We stayed in one of the five comfortable rooms, and breakfast was amazing. I will never forget the waffles in particular! Dinner was superb, and our choice of wine was the 2000 vintage Ormes de Pez -- perfect for our meal of foie gras and duck. The property itself is beautiful, with... More

This is my 3rd visit to Chateau de Pez and we privatized the entire facilities. * Gilles is the star, friendly, helpful yet go with extra miles to assist the customers. * Very quiet and relaxing, original country side living. * The swimming pool is stunning.

What you get here is a reasonably priced Bordeaux Chateau. It has only 5 rooms, so does give a feeling of exclusivity. It just offers B&B (we were there 2 nights, and there was no dinner on offer) so you do have to go out for dinner. They do offer you a good selection of restaurants to choose from, and... More

We stayed four nights at the Chateau Ormes de Pez in early August 2016 and we could not be any more delighted with our experience. This small (5 rooms, max. 10 guests) B&B is located in the petit but elegant manor of a vineyard acquired by the Cazes family, owners of the larger Chateau Lynch Bages. The intendant Gilles de... We stayed 2 nights, and it was wonderful. The chateau was beautiful and very quiet and relaxing. The other guests were very friendly, as well. Gilles was very welcoming. He set up a tour for us at one of the local wineries, which the tour was very informative. We would definitely come back and stay here.

Everything about Chateau Ormes de Pez was perfect. The manager, Gilles, provided excellent service from the moment of our arrival, booking three complimentary and very interesting winery tours and providing advice about where to eat and what to see. At one of the wineries, owned by a very rich and famous French businessman, the proprietor himself greeted us. Our room... More

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to France, which included three nights at the Chateau Ormes de Pez. We had two king rooms (our son and his fiancee joined us). The chateau was lovely, pristine, small and comfortable, but elegant. Gilles and Nadege (sp?) were excellent hosts, arranging several tours in and around St Estephe, Pauillac, and the... More

I had a king room on the first floor. It was perfect! I was there for 5 nights while attending Mimi Thorisson's cooking workshop. Gilles was very welcoming and helpful and we were lucky to have him show us how to make his fabulous canelés!
