This is a "find" - great hotel in a lovely village. Hosts were so helpful and very flexible with our changing dates. The room had all we needed. Bonus is the breakfast table and the preserves. Recommend this hotel highly.

The awe begins on approach to this 12th century village. The incredibly quaint hotel faces inward on the village central courtyard. The enthusiastic owner, Mark, greeted us with historical dates & facts. Clean modern rooms, lift worked, fabulous breakfasts, pleasant staff- very helpful. We stayed 2 nights. We stayed end of September, with cool nights, we didn't swim in the...

Even though the host wasn't in when we arrived, a quick inhouse phone call gave us access to our rooms immediately, which after a long wall was really appreciated. When he did arrive he was extremely friendly and helpful with information and recommendations for the village. The rooms were pretty basic, but roomy and the beds were comfortable and quiet....

The hotel is located on the small central square of this tiny town, located at the top of a hill which provides great views in all directions. Perhaps "town" is making it sound too big, for the little square has only two restaurants and a couple of shops and is reached only through narrow streets, so there is very little...

We stayed here for 4 nights, 2 adults and 2 children. This hotel was comfortable, attractive, and provided lots of outdoor space to sit, relax, and enjoy a glass of wine. There were stunning views from the roof top terrace, and the town was picture perfect. The kids loved the pool. Our room (a duplex) was spacious and charming with...

First the location. This hotel is in the charming arcaded square at the centre of Castlenau. The village is pretty tiny, and you can easily walk around it in half an hour. The square has 2 restaurants, the tourist office and a gallery. On tuesdays there is a market in the square. The views from the walk arounf the town...

This hotel is well located in a beau village in a lovely medieval square. The rooms were adequate and reasonably clean but sparsely furnished. The wifi was weak and intermittent. Thankfully next door there was Chez Niko cafe and restaurant where there was great food and drink In a welcoming atmosphere and strong wifi to boot. Our large group had...

Yes, the room standards are kind of strange but the atmosphere is authentic. Do not expect hi tech or commodity room services. That said this is a perfect place to go back in time. Smal compound, great climate, proximity to wineyards and traditional agriculture, cultural deja vu, wonderful landscapes and friendly people. AND the better part - at least for...

We had a diabolical experience at the Hotel des Consuls in Castelnau de Montmiral. The manager/owner of the hotel made it very clear that he had the “contract and duty” to extract one night of tariff from us, but he had absolutely NO contract or duty to be on reception to check us in when we arrived; he had absolutely...

We stayed in this charming hotel on our way to Provence. The small town is full of character. The restaurant connected to the hotel was unfortunately closed but the very friendly proprietor helpfully suggested the bistro across the beautiful square which is the main feature of Castellion. The room we stayed in was lovely, with high ceilings and hand-made ceramic...
