I recently stayed at Cromasaig House and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. If it wasn't for their strong anti-gay views I would give this B&B 3 stars. However, whilst we were welcomed as a hetrosexual, married couple I was shocked to find an 'anti-gay b&b' cartoon placed in a frame alongside the breakfast cereal! I felt very uncomfortable at...

Our four nights staying at Cromasaig reminded us of the advantage of staying in a B&B as opposed to a hotel. We really missed owners Liz and Tom when we left. Liz has links to the local museum and Tom's an enthusiastic walker so they are extremely knowledgeable about the area, which they both clearly love. It's a comfortable and...

This is what Bed and Breakfasting should be - you are privileged to share a home with welcoming hosts who live in an place they love and are busily engaged in. The house is typical of those older houses you see all over the Highlands - basically two front rooms and two gable-window bedrooms above, with modern additions tucked away...

Just returned from Cromasaig after spending two days walking in the area. Lovely scenery and a great Munro to climb in Ben Eighe but the trip was made all the better by Liz and Tom's hospitality. Lots of friendly chat and and advice throughout our trip as well as great food, very clean rooms and a warm fire. We got...

A comfortable night followed by a good breakfast in quiet rural surroundings. Tom and Liz are very sociable and a mine of knowledge on local wildlife. There is even a local cuckoo with a very distinctive call. The only downside was that both the two local restaurants in Kinlochewe were fully booked

We slipped in here last minute and were very happy to have found it. Owners Tom & Liz were very warm and fun to talk with and very welcoming to our dog (they have dogs themselves). Little sitting room for relaxing in. Nice breakfast in their kitchen. Only had rooms with twin beds so hubby and I had to spend...

Pre-booked one night stay as part of hill walking trip in area, wish we had booked for longer! Warm welcome from Tom & Liz, friendly conversation with helpful information on hills and locality. Nice location, cosy lounge to relax with wood burning stove and great selection of books, clean comfortable room, good facilities, tasty breakfast and packed lunch fit for...

I stayed with Liz and Tom for 8 days in Sept 2012. They are both extremely knowledgeable about their area, experts on the outdoors and mountains, bird- and wildlife surrounding their immaculate B&B, involved in everything locally it seems, and have opinions to share on most things. Take these with a pinch of salt and you won't be disappointed, nor...

Give this accommodaiton the thumbs up. I stayed here a couple of nights in August and the owners are friendly and welcoming. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable, which is by far and away the main thing. My only comment would be that the option of having breakfast a little later would have been nice, and local black pudding...

I am surprised by the man who writes that Americans would not be welcome here. I am American and I met Tom and Liz while they were out walking dogs and while I was a wee bit lost on the trail to Kinlochewe. They not only pointed me in the right direction, but offered a cold beverage to help me...
