It was good one week holiday at Katinkulta in cabin. Lot of possibilities for active holiday.
There is lot of good ski trails for cross-country skiing and if you want to downhill ski, Vuokatti ski resort is not far away.
We stayed in one of the lakeside cabins (2 adults and 3 kids aged 3, 6 and 8) and had a wonderful time at Katinkulta. Our cabin had three bedrooms and a massive mezzanine, so it could have easily housed another 3 or more people....More

Everything depends what kind of room you´ll take. There is hotel rooms and cottages. We were at cottage and there was a fridge. Every rooms have AC and voltage is 220V. There is bus service nearby towns, Sotkamo and Kajaani. Cottages includes also bikes, so if there isn´t snow, you can cykle to Sotkamo :). I think all guests can rent bikes from hotel, if you stay in hotelroom. In Sotkamo there is restaurants, shops and markets, but in Katinkulta/Vuokatti is also good restaurants and markets. You can find more information if you write in google: Vuokatti (questions may not include website links)
think free gym includes all rooms and cottages.
