Heritage Resort is one of the best places to stay amongst the few options available at Badami. The place is located just on the outskirts of the town which helps avoid the melee. It still is close enough to facilitate visits/ essential essentials. The staff is extremely cooperative and strives to ensure a comfortable stay. Rooms are very well kept and the ambience is impressive. The restaurant provides tasty food and the staff is especially forthcoming in catering to guests' requirements. Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi is extremely resourceful and ensures that guests have a most comfortable stay. Mr. Nagesh too went the extra mile to facilitate our requirements. The fare could have been a little lower to make it more value for money.

This is a good hotel with clean rooms and bathrooms. The rooms are large and airy. The hotel has a central courtyard, which has gardens, trees and flowers - making it a very pleasant environment to stay in when visiting a dry and arid region such as Badami. However, we did not get a double bed, instead two single beds joined together - quite uncomfortable when traveling with my husband. The bathrooms also need modernizing with proper showers. Currently ones needs to use a bucket and mug for baths. This was the most uncomfortable for us. Finally the intercom system was not working either.

Now coming to the best part of this hotel - the food was very good. And Ms Vijaylaxmi the hotel manager was extremely warm, welcoming and efficient. If it weren't for her, our stay would have been quite uncomfortable indeed. Despite the intercon not working, she offered her number for us to call on anytime requiring any room service or anything else. She made sure our AC started working properly (while all others failed) and even woke up cheerful at 6 am to make sure we had water in our bathroom for an early morning shower before visiting the cave temples. Ms Vijaylaxmi is The Heritage Resort Badami's greatest asset.

We stayed here for a night, the room & toilet were big, the rooms had lots of problems but our overall stay was very comfortable.

The positives – Both the dinner and the breakfast were simple but good. The place seems very popular with the locals, especially at dinner time. We didn’t have any mosquitoes/flies, which is surprising considering it is pretty green around the area with gardens. Even the best high-end properties struggle on this front. The staff and management are on the older side with many of them being ladies. I just didn’t feel comfortable letting an old lady carry my luggage, besides that, they are very friendly and give a homely kind of feel.

The area needing improvement - The ac didn’t work, we were told it will start after 10 minutes but it never did, as the weather was decent, we didn’t bother the management again. The TV didn’t have a signal, we were told it is the problem with the cable provider in the local area, so we had to watch a match on phone. The bathroom shower had a leak, not much of an issue considering we were there only for a night but it does need a change.

We felt very comfortable and friendly during our two nights stay. Room was clean, cleaned daily and gave fresh linen. Food is very good, in fact they prepared specially less spicy for us. The monuments are about 5 kms away and this resort is on the main National Highway road. Lift is under renovation, so take ground floor rooms if necessary. Madam Vijayalakshmi in the Front office is very helpful. Badami town is congested, noisy and not clean, but the resort location is free of these problems.

One of the best resorts to stay very convenient to reach historic places ,temples, trek etc .Banashankari temple is very close by.
Sidila padi was amazing morning trek experience one can explore.
Close to town but away from city hustle and bustle . Cottage stay makes one feel earthy and natural. Morning sunrise is just amazing to experience as right infront of resort there is a huge rock and at one angle it looks like Lion . Staff members were very courteous. Food was good. After a longtime our whole family felt it was stress bursting in this Covid Era . Totally enjoyed. When we visited there was new suite opening ceremony and we got to see it.Superb interiors , ambience and a small kitchen, patio to sit outside with cup of coffee or tea. Next time we plan to book new suite for vacation.Perfect place to enjoy with family

Nice and cozy hotel in Badami. Right outside the hotel so it's (much) quieter than this buzzling city. Its only 2 miles from the Badami temples and caves.

The owner and the staff are so nice! You feel welcomed and they'll do whatever they Can to please you so that you feel comfortable.

Beautiful bungalows surrounded by a green and Lush garden.

Its restaurant, only veg, is excellent and very affordable compared to the others i've been in India.

The Best place to be if you want to visit this wonderful site that is Badami,. Which a must in Karnataka

We have stayed there 2 nights as a couple in July 2022, to reach our room we walked through the beautiful gardens. The room was big, comfortable, very clean.
The restaurant is lovely, outside (beware of mosquitoes), but well covered, the food is excellent, and I was glad to be able to order my food in Kannada (as I am currently learning the language) with Satik and another young waiter, I feel grateful for the practice! Coming out of the room we had a few on the rocks colour almond (baadaami, that is where the name of the city comes from), above the nice gardens, quite amazing! We would love to stay there again! Matte SigoNa!

We stayed at the Heritage Resort, Badami for three days. The cottage was spacious andvery comfortable facing a nice garden. The staff are very hospitable and took good care of us. The food was very good too. The location is great as it is 2 kms away from the town center on the highway, just 2 kms from the Railway station. Definitely recommend this place for everyone.

Hi, This resort is approximately 1.5 km away from the town as it is situated between the railway station and the town. You have the following options to go the Badami caves, which is approximately 2-3 km away from the resort a. take an auto (share or own) from outside the resort and go to the bus stand. Share auto charges Rs. 10 per person. If you are the type qho seeks a life away from the normal try this. It is fun :) Having your your own auto, is another option. from the bus stand, take an auto to go the caves. You will find plenty just opposite to the bus stand. I paid Rs. 40 to go to the caves. b. you can ask the resort management, Mr. Masur or Mr. Narayan to arrange a cab for you. they will tell you the prices. As for restaurants, the resort serves vegetarian food for lunch and dinner which I found to be delicious as they serve the local specialities. They serve thali for lunch and buffet for dinner. There is a restaurant in Clarks Inn which is on the way to the Caves. I have not tried this though. Another option is Udipi restaurant Banashree which is located diagonal to the bus stand which erves veg food. Hope this information helps. Happy travelling. Cheers Srinivas
