After three legs of a long day's journey on progressively smaller buses, we finally pulled up to the dock at Playa Banco just before dark hoping to find Bruno waiting for us. He helped load our backpacks into a boat for the short ride to his lodge. Not really knowing what to expect, we hit the beach just at sunset...

Peaceful and lovely as the sunsets over the Pacific, the resort is on a beautiful, secluded cove, accessible only by boat. Once there, you are surrounded by nature and the sounds of waves lapping at the beach. Bruno, the owner and builder of Coco Mango, is attentive, kind and accommodating. He can describe the flora and fauna, can arrange snorkeling...

Spent two nights there with Bruno, a very courteous and thoughtful host. The little houses are solar powered, so that means you get a light and a fan - no electrical outlets for charging your stuff and no hot water, no wifi, no cell phone service. The food was delicious BUT was not included in the price when it should...

If you love nature there is the place to stay !!! book 3 nights!! not very easy to find but so happy to reach destination. Ecofriendly. the only way to get there is by boat. Peace and beautiful sunset. Bruno the owner organized for us an excursion to coiba which was very nice for snorkeling providing the lunch. Seen all...

We are seasoned travelers, having experienced lodgings on all continents. Yet, this was by a long stretch the absolute worst place we have ever stayed during all our years of travel (including cockroach infested rooms in Bangkok and army barracks). We booked a King Suite over Christmas of 2013 aspiring to some comfort and luxury during a month of travelling...

if you're looking for a place to get away from everything, this it! no roads, no cars, the only way to get to this wonderfull resort located on a private beach is by boat. we were supposed to stay for 2 we extended to 4 nights. The place is totally ecofriendly so are the hosts! Great place to jetski, nice...
