Seems to be a good budget hotel for a nights stay ,near to temple and good Car Parking Facility. I have been there 1 year before with family for a religious ceremony and also earlier once .Pre tele phonic booking is enough in this hotel , we reached hotel late at night because we were travelling from Thiruvananthapuram by car ,but rooms were ready, clean and tidy rooms. Good Choice for family
Stayed in the Hotel for 2 days ..staying here for the first time..good hotel for family and functions..little away from the temple but there is a short cut through the back of the hotel ..they also have a veg restaurant in the hotel ..
The property is around 5 minutes walk to the Temple. The rooms are clean for a one night stay but requires a face lift urgently. There are quite a lot of better property near the temple. The complementary breakfast is not buffet so you can order one South Indian dishes such as idli, dosa. The food quality and taste is ok nothing great. There are a lot of better restaurants close to the temple with good food quality and taste.
My second stay at Gokulam Shabari. Location is very good to visit the temple. There is a route to temple through the back gate of the hotel too. Walking distance. Has AC rooms, TV, tea/coffee maker, comfortable beds, big rooms and basic toiletries. Worth the money. Clean. Has a restaurant also on the ground floor
We booked a suite. Fairly spacious and comfortable. Bathroom needs improvement. No fridge in the room. Complimentary breakfast is not buffet, has to be ordered. Unfortunately I, waiters can't understand basic instructions. Food is OK. Restaurant is completely vegetarian. Overall, not a bad place to stay
Stayed with family at this hotel for one night in connection with a marriage ceremony. We had a standard ac room, and upon check in, we were advised to maintain the temperature above 20 degrees, else water would leak from the unit into the room. In spite of following their advise, there was plenty of water inside the room in the morning. When this was notified to them, I was told that the temperature should not be kept below 24 degrees !! The room had dilapidated furniture and so we didn't feel comfortable to stay inside the room for long. Bathroom was not tidy and the towels were miserable. The only good side is the vegetarian restaurant of the hotel. Food was good and tasty.
I had stayed at Sabari during 2013 and had written a good review of my stay during that time. Push the clock forward to 2018 and my repeat stay was a complete disaster. The hotel is poorly maintained and needs serious refurbishment. The rooms are worn down and we had to switch rooms twice because the AC was not functioning properly. All the rooms smell of mold (fungus). The wardrobes and cabinets are almost falling to bits and very dirty. Most of the light fixtures in the room have fused bulbs or no bulbs at all. I'm very very dissappointed and made by concerns clear to the reception staff during check out. I went and checked out hotels nearby and much better options are available for the same price range.
Short walking distance to the temple. Nice room housekeeping. Happy with the compliment as well .. Restaurant is also fine tastes very thing good . Front office staff is doing their job in a good manner, receiving the guest with total commitment.
Located a short walk away from the shrine, Sree Gokulam Sabari appeals to you with comfortable rooms, excellent hospitality and a restaurant with good food & prompt service. Staff members are very warm & helpful.
