The rooms were ok, so as the bathrooms. Not very good distribution of the beds by the apartments, the bunk bed is near to the fridge. No AC and no mosquito net. The location is perfect, right into the beach and breakfast is very good

We have stayed here a number of times and each time it is blissfully the same. Slow service, ramshackled buildings, old school rooms, free breakfast AND THAT VIEW! The rooms are simple, basic and self catering. We always book a 1st floor room in the front row which is pretty much ON the beach, rooms are perfect for their location....

Units no. 65 to 68 are right on the beach! Units are small/basic but comfortable. Very Clean but needs maintenance. Friendly staff. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. Average value for what you get. Worth a stay if you want to be within a few meters of the beach.

We recently spent 8 nights at Motel Do Mar(12 to 19 April 2015). This is the second time we have stayed there and we really love it. The Units are old but clean and are serviced every day, it isn't luxury but we are really used to camping and roughing it so it was perfect for us. We always get...

The hotel was basic and showing its age, but perfectly adequate for us on a long weekend in Mozambique. There is huge potential here with a superb beach and the hotel is on the sea front, but it seems not enough investment and/or custom; when we stayed over a weekend in early February we only saw two other units occupied....

One of the best locations in Ponta. A dive charter on the property and right in front of the beach. The units are very basic and could do with some renovations. There are no air conditioners, only fans, so expect to be hot at night. There are basic kitchen utensils and barbecues outside the units but no luxuries. It is...

This was our second stay. We were in a family group with a couple of chalets. We had an awesome time and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, on our last night, we went out for a last blast on the town and having got complacent (my own fault) I neglected to lock our valuables in the car. We...

Reasonably priced accommodation in a great location on the beach. The accommodation itself is average, decent sized rooms, available in 3 different price ranges (executive suite with ocean view sleeps 2, self-catering rooms that sleep 4, and the basic room). It could use a fresh coat of paint, but otherwise with the location, proximity to a handful of restaurants, local...

We stayed at this hotel before, it did not change much the last 14 or so years...and we hope it will never do. We prefer the style of architecture above the newer wooden structures and the position is absolutely prime. The breakfast is tops, basic, but the best we experienced at this hotel over the years. The staff was friendly...

“Self catering rooms sleep 4, 2 single beds and a bunk bed. You may hear some music from the bar next door, when you are staying in the executive suites. But it turns off at around 10:30pm or 11:00pm. We weren't too bothered by it, as we had our windows closed.”

“try and get one of the rooms in the Northern block, best 2nd to about 6th from the beach, or one of the two units on the southern side close to the beach. The ones in front is very good, but very exposed to weather. And, avoid long weekends and holidays if possible.”
