The Hambro Arms served us so well! The food was amazing - definitely go there for a Sunday lunch. Modern and tasteful interior, decorated with countryside pictures and feathers, set the perfect country scene. Reasonably priced and the service is great. Would 100% come again and again.

Thanks to Caroline and the team at the lovely Hambro Arms we had a wonderful couple of nights here with our two young children (1yr and 5yrs) we felt really looked after and Mark in particular was very attentive and hospitable! Good food and comfortable rooms in picture postcard Dorset, great location and definitely well worth the money! Thanks again...

Overnight stay in this wonderful pub, good beer and restaurant food very good. Friendly and helpful staff, told us interesting walks in this beautiful village. Low ceilings and our ensure toilet was very high, a real throne! Would thoroughly recommend this pub for exploring local area.

We had lunch here with my brother-in-law and his wife, and all enjoyed it very much. The setting is simply beautiful in this well known village. The food was good, and the beer well kept. The lunch menu was quite extensive, with a good choice. We ate in the bar, not the restaurant, but found it comfortable. Prices are on...

Lovely setting - stayed 3 nights - lovely welcome by young staff who carried case upstairs. Old building with very low ceilings and doorways (very difficult for anyone over 6ft ). Room comfortable but rather dingy not helped by grubby windows which were not clean and couldn't see out - discovered someone else's rubbish in bedside drawer. Felt like the...

This has got to be the best place to get a Club sandwich ever, the bacon was great as was the thick pieces of chicken. Very good value and very professional staff. And the place was spotless. Well worth a visit and some lovely thatch cottages nearby.

My husband and I dropped in for lunch after visiting the Abbey, the restaurant area was good as was the service. Unfortunately, the food does not live up to its billing, particularly for the prices charges. My husband had cod and chips with mushy peas, which consisted of a small piece of rather over cooked fish and an enormous portion...

Went there for lunch. My husband had a ploughman's which he said was very good. I had the club sandwich made with horrible white bread. It was all a bit dry. When you go into the hotel, it all looks very inviting but on closer inspection it had clearly not been cleaned that morning. The floor in the bar was...

This establishment is really taking liberties. Smallest pot of tea for two people £5. We had one and a half cups between us and when the hot water (which was begrudgingly supplied) was added we were drinking nothing more than weak coloured water. Was asked for payment most discourteously with not even a please or thank you. For the price...
