Perfect b&b experience for a city break. Small but cozy and warm rooms. Shower & toilet not well insulated from the bedroom so, unless you are staying on your own or with your second half with whom you are fully comfortable, the experience could be a bit embarrassing. But this did not spoil our stay. The breakfast was great, DIY...

After finding the right door, we had a good first impression of the the Brugmann Garden, with the living areas very nice. The African Penthouse was up a few flights of stairs. It wasn't really a useable apartment as advertised, the 'kitchenette' was just a kettle and a toaster with nothing else. I suppose the plates and cups were available...

We arrived at the B and B and were greeted by a man who did not identify himself. He told us where to put our bags, which was up 5 flights of steps to the door of our room, the "African Palace." We were early for check in and asked for towels and sheets which he provided. We looked around...

I stayed here with my two cousins this past September. We had some trouble finding the B&B, as the house number (21) is kind of engraved into the stone--hard to see at night. And the nameplate is tucked on the side of the brick and not on the front. It is indeed right at the Ma Campagne stop on the...

Perfectly located near to a tram stop that brings you all the way to Louisa and Brussels Central and a short walk from the nice Le Chatelein area, with lots of bars and restaurants. I had a spacious room overlooking a lovely garden and a huge bathroom. Breakfast was home-like and plenty. Bottled water is available also after breakfast, as...

My partner and I like to stay at a B&B for the extra care and attention that one doesn't usually receive at a generic hotel. Brugmann Garden wasn't what we were expecting.. The Good: 1. We stayed in The Caravan room which is at the back of the house. The smallest room I believe but it has a lovely view...

As another reviewer has noted this is not a traditional B&B as the owners are not around. You receive a code and let yourself in. In the morning someone comes in early and leaves some bread and croissants (we were out for a run and didn't meet them). You help yourself to breakfast and also to the bottles of water...

We (a family of 4, parents and 2 kids, 4 and 8 years old) had the top floor for 2 days in July 2013, the place is clean and modern, really good location with the city center within a 15-20 min walk (bus stop and tram just outside the door) and very close to many shops and restaurants. Breakfast was...

Be prepared to look after yourself with no or minimal contact with staff/owners. The experience is like staying at the house of a friend whilst they are away so if you want service and pampering go elsewhere. However, if you are fine boiling your own eggs and making your own coffee Hotel Brugmann offers a good alternative to the usual...

I stayed here for business and I can tell you that this place is fantastic: quiet, nice ambiance (old mansion), jazz music, lovely garden with terrasse, huge breakfast, and close to all fun restaurants ! What else do you need ?

“Rooms that face the back are quieter, and the place we had slept 4 comfortably.”

“Our room faced the street--it was somewhat noisy between about 6a and 11p (not a dealbreaker but more quiet would've been great). Select a room overlooking the gorgeous garden, if possible!”

“Ask for a room at the back of the house if you're not good with street noise. The house is on a very busy street.”

“The Horta room seems to be the best. It is on the garden side so you don't get the traffic (including tram) noise and it has a separate bathroom. The Horta room is on the street side and the shower, hand basin and toilet are within the room.”
