The drive to Cape Otway from Warrnambool was relaxing through the National Park forest. Walking to the lighthouse was easy & the views spectacular. There was a guide in the lighthouse with plenty of information & historical facts about the lighthouse & its past. It is the oldest working lightstation in Australia. Its an easy climb & a good view...

We stayed here for one night during our great ocean 4 day walk organized by Walk 91 and stayed in the studio apartment attached to the cafe. Arriving mid afternoon gave us time to see the lighthouse and surrounding buildings which were especially interesting. But when the lighthouse shut at 5pm and all the people were gone we were able...

Decided to stay here on our road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne. A fantastic setting and accommodation in keeping with the history of the Great Otway lightstation. Accommodation always clean and functional. Given the location amenities were understandably restricted with no wifi or mobile signal (except at the top of the light house). We stayed in a B&B with only...

This is not a five star serviced accommodation facility. So, stop now if you a looking for a full luxury serviced venue. And stop now if you are not self-sufficient and can't build a fire. You need to be someone who loves adapting to a building and working with it for the experience and getting some indication of what it...

If you want out of the way then this is the place to stay. The is basic but comfortable in a fabulous location in port Otway national park. Highlights are the remoteness, once the tourists have gone at 5pm it's just you and the lighthouse. The koala spotting en route to the accommodation is 5* and more or less guaranteed...

The cottage we stayed in was very outdated, very little attention to detail - poor choice of DVDs and books available. Uncomfortable bed with no headboard. Disappointing customer service with regards to contacting prior to arrival. Worth the visit to see the lighthouse - cannot recommend to stay for the price is costs for what is provided.

Hi Sorry to hear you found the 1859 building outdated. We have been working hard and restored the bathroom, freshly painted and replaced most of the furniture including new beds. I take onboard your comment regarding the poor quality of DVD's and will work on improving the selection. As the cost of the of the accommodation includes entry to the...

We stayed at the head light keepers cottage. What a fabulous location. Such an isolated and harsh environment in winter. Rain, howling wind. But absolutely special because of it. The house itself is sparsely furnished. Needs work. Needs blankets. Even simply placing more window furnishing and rugs ( not a single rug in any room of the house) would make...

I loved staying here. The B&B has nice bedrooms and is very well-equipped for self-catering. It's a great spot to commence bushwalks along the coast. The lighthouse itself is fascinating - and a beautiful spot. The cafe also means that if you get sick of cooking, you can still get a good meal - exceptional food considering the remoteness of...

We LOVED staying in the Head Lightkeeper's House at Cape Otway. Just waking to the lighthouse and ocean view outside each morning was amazing, but to have the whole place to yourself after hours was just incredible. This was the kids absolute favourite place ever, and we have to agree - if you ever get the opportunity, stay in this...

My husband and I stayed one night which coincided with the most beautiful weather and sunset. We were given a warm welcome from the staff and guided to our cottage. A complimentary Devonshire tea on arrival at the cafe was a nice touch but make sure you arrive while the cafe is still open. We realised the remote location so...
