I booked the Fisherman's Cottage and a regular room for our family reunion/Mom's milestone birthday trip - a total of 8 people. The Fisherman's Cottage is stunning with everything you need in there. It was modern yet cozy. The location felt like a Winter Wonderland; the morning stroll along the river was perfect.
The property is about a 20m drive to the Gondola and to the local restaurants. We of course did not miss the chance to dine at Fergie's, which is also located on the property.
I'm looking forward to staying here again with my extended family!

My Wife, Grandson and myself needed a change of pace with the challenges of the last few months and this little gem hit the spot ! we spent our days lounging or touring the beautiful local scenery, it was so peaceful and yet energizing. The kitchen is great, we only went out for dinner 1 time ! The beds is very comfortable and the bathroom is modern and beautiful. Over all the cabin was very roomy for our needs (considering I packed our whole house to bring) Our 4 yr old did not miss TV or any electronics because he was so busy outside. You are nor cut off you do have cell service lol.The staff was very helpful and kind if we needed anything such as towels or garbage pick up. We can't wait to come back next year and it looks like we will bring an extra cabin of people with us too.

PET friendly !!

Sunwolf is relatively close to the city, that's why i like visiting. Also it has easy access to mountains, rivers, trails, skiing, fishing and more. Service is simple but thats what is expected in cabin. Generally you are left on your own unless you want to use restaurant for food for example.

Car is a must when arriving here but it could be possible to visit from Squamish by using taxi service.

The resort is very close to the river so experience is quite unique.

Also if you want to use kitchen it's extremely well equipped with everything you need but no microwave (cabin i stayed at) ... which I didn't mind. There is oven, there small fridge with top freezer, cutlery, dishes.

All in all good place to stay to rewind and relax... or for a nature lover to enjoy the beautiful surrounding.

I booked sunwolf cabins because I've always wanted to have the cabin vibes of rustic and simple. Very clean the beautiful cabins, loved walking in after a long drive to a warm nice fireplace and having the river right behind is a added bonus! I really like the fact that the cabins have a full kitchen and they actually have all the essentials that you need unlike most hotels that state they have such and such and you get there and realize you need to go buy some stuff. It's also nice Fergie's cafe is right on site, amazing fresh food! 1000 times I would recommend sun wolf!!! I'm definitely gonna be back soon.

We stayed in Cabin 1 and really enjoyed having a deck that looked out over the river. It is worth the upgrade. With no TVs to distract you it is the perfect place to really get away and reconnect. Exploring Squamish and Brakendale offers many amazing walks, hikes, shops and restaurants. Going at this time of year means you get an eagle show all day long with the Wintering Eagles. We watched them from our deck all morning then again sitting at a window seat at Watershed Pub. Also, all the friendly and helpful staff (like Jenna) make you feel very welcome. We will keep coming back.

Comfortable, perfectly clean cabin with everything you could need, in a gorgeous quiet setting by a river. Peaceful countryside all around, but only a short journey from Squamish. The on site cafe serves breakfast and lunch and is incredible.

We loved it and can't wait to return! It had snowed a few days before so it was magical. Spent some time walking around watching the eagles and built a fire at the communal fire pit. Now we need to see what it's like in the Summer.

Rented the Fisherman's Cottage. The looks are deceiving, you don't expect much from the outside but WOW! Being along the water was so relaxing. Was a nice relaxing getaway spot for our family.

Great modern amenities, hot tub on site, fire pit, friendly neighbours, our dog loved it as well. Equipped with bbq and everything you need. Just bring your food and enjoy. Was sad to have to leave. It was just what I needed. A great book collection to wind down with.

Highly recommend this for a couple families. 8 of us slept comfortably.

Thank you for a wonderful review. The Fisherman's Cottage is our pride and joy! We love it when families take advantage of what it has to offer. It really is a hidden gem. Many people are delightfully surprised when they step inside and find it does have all the amenities you could ask for and then some. And being beside the river, listening to it as you fall asleep, allows guests to truly relax into nature. We hope you come and visit us again soon.

Hi there! Only one cabin has its own BBQ, and that's our Fisherman's Cottage (three-bedroom). Before COVID-19 we had a couple of communal BBQ's available for guests, but as we cannot maintain the appropriate sanitation levels for them, we have removed them to protect our guests and our staff. We do still have a communal fire pit that is available to all our guests. Bring your own firewood and s'mores supplies!

How is the drive from Vancouver to Squamish in January? Is it safe to drive?
Answer from Guest S
Squamish, Canada70 contributions
Hi there! It all comes down to the weather. Always check the weather forecast, and you can also check the DriveBC webcams for current conditions. So far this year we haven't had any snow or minimal snow on that section of highway, but it could change. Every weather condition brings a different set of risks: if it's snowing or cold, it's likely to be slippery; if it's raining, then visibility could be affected as well; and if it's sunny, then people might be looking at the beautiful views and not the road... The highway is as safe as any. Please take your time, obey all traffic signs and posted speed limits, and drive to the conditions. Whether you're renting a vehicle or driving your own, the tires are legally required to have "M+S" or "snowflake" rating from Oct 1 - Apr 1 every year. Hope this helps!

Hello Mumerida! Thanks so much for getting in touch with your questions. Unfortunately Sunwolf does not have laundry facilities, but there are local laundry mats in Squamish! We always recommend Comfy's Laundry in Valleycliffe. Cheers, Sunwolf Team

small There is a huge beautiful food store (save on) in Squammish not far away. So you don't need a large one. Cheers
