Wonderful lodges! Surrounded by lush green, very quiet at night and relaxing pool. The bungalows are beautiful and comfortable bed. Also location close to Le Moule beaches and not too far from
Saint Francois is ideal. Recommend staying here.

This a fabulous garden oasis. Lovely wooden bungalows set in secluded gardens. Pierre did just about everything right to make our stay fabulous . The breakfast each morning is superb. I loved the touches of creativity everywhere and the comfort of the bungalows.

Small lodge in a beautifully laid out tropical garden. The cabins are lovely, with outdoor kitchen and bathroom, and a spacious bedroom. Simple but tasty breakfast included. Plus a refreshing swimming pool to relax in after your island explorations. Do not that you’ll need a car - but you’ll need one anyway to explore the islands. Saint Francois - with some lovely restaurants - just 15 minutes away. Thanks to Pierre for being such an excellent host!

The Shambala Lodge far exceeded my expectations. I visited Guadeloupe with my husband and we were both blown away by the lodge itself. The property is composed of several individual (and impeccably well-designed) huts that have beautiful indoor bedrooms, a half-indoor/half-outdoor bathroom, and a covered (but outdoor) kitchen. If you love an outdoor shower, this bathroom is a dream.

Pierre was very friendly and hospitable. Communication was excellent from the start (which was especially important because our French is rudimentary, to say the least). We arrived to a fridge that had been stocked with breakfast for the following day, plus supplies to make ti’punch, the local rum drink. Along the way, Pierre was also very helpful in providing restaurant and beach recommendations, and even had snorkeling gear available that we could use for the day.

Another thing to mention is that Le Moule is very central to northern and western beaches. Perfect surf location.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Shambala Lodge. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Guadeloupe and will recommend it to anyone going there.

Simply put, this is a wonderful place to stay. The cabanas, the four poster bed (so comfortable!), the indoor/outdoor bathroom, the outdoor space, common area and the grounds are truly extraordinary. On top of this, the hosts are very gracious and accommodating people and who are committed to making Shambala an even better place to stay. A must do is the communal dinner served once a week. Even though we don't speak French, we had such a nice time interacting with Pierre and his wife and the other guests. We very much felt that we were on vacation in a soothing and relaxing place. So tranquil. And they had the friendliest dogs who often would come and lie down on our outside porch. I heartily recommend this as a place for couples who are not looking for the big resort, Club Med experience.

What to say about Shambala more than the meaning of his name. An oasis of relax and stile, very nice placed on the est coast of Grande-terre.
A place to replenish also your spirit if you want to practice yoga or have a massage.
Everything toghether very friendly staff memebers. The owners Pierre and Deborah were really the best people found in our trip, they helped us a lot with all our needs and were never invadent but always present.
The bungalows are new, bali style, immersed in a rigoglious garden, very very confortable with open bath... we really loved staying there and have breakfast in the outside kitchen.
A bientot guys we'll never forget time passed at Shambala!.. and hope to see you soon!

Very charming estate located 10-15 min drive from St-Francois and a 10 min walk from the beach. Clean, great breakfast included and if you don't want to go to the beach, the on-sight pool is very well setup and private.

Shambala has five indoor/outdoor suites in a spectacular location near Le Moule.
Pierre, the host, is a true believer in detail and hospitality. Sense of humor, grace, and overall bonhomie. Excellent taste. Wonderful plantings, walks, breakfasts. Nothing excessive, all just right.

A perfect place to relax in Guadeloupe as the property is beautiful and very quiet. Pierre made us feel right at home and the rooms were stylish yet practical with an outdoor shower. It felt like an oasis.

Hey Julia, This is coming very late and I'm sure you've figured it out by now. But no, this lodge is not walking distance to the beach. The island generally requires a car for getting around. Many of the beaches have shade under trees, but no chairs/umbrellas. Also, this particular accommodation has a max occupancy of 2 people per bungalow...I'm not sure if a baby would count.
