We visited Poplars Farmhouse for just one night but would have loved to stay longer. Thank you David and Paul for a warm welcome, warm fire, convivial atmosphere and simply perfect home for a night. We stayed in the Gardenia room which was lovely, has a wonderfully comfortable bed, and like everyone else in their reviews enjoyed a superb breakfast...

We stayed here in between Christmas and new year and it was just the perfect way to unwind. A beautifully welcoming home decorated to a very high standard, a roaring fire, glorious Christmas tree and an offer of tea and cake in the guest lounge when we arrived. I love the fact that breakfast is communial, we met two very...

We have recently returned from an autumnal weekend stay at The Poplars and from the moment we stepped into the door we were welcomed and made to feel at home but better than that because we didn’t have to do anything. Our room - the panelled room - was individually designed, spacious and warm, with comfortable beds and pillows and...

From the moment we arrived outside Poplars we felt a nice calm and this continued as we were met by David and shown to our room. We stayed in the Gardenia suite for 2 nights which is spacious, clean, comfortable and has great views. A large bed with beautiful crisp sheets, soft towels and all amenities, we felt so relaxed....

In all honesty, my wife and I have never quite like the Suffolk/Essex region for various reasons, however the stay at the poplars farmhouse was delightful. David the owner was nice to chat with, and more importantly, paid attention to the details. We were treated a nice tea on arrival, and were very impressed by the delicate and delicious breakfast....

A beautiful house, immaculately kept and lots of nice little touches, such as a fresh bottle of water in the room each day and the wood burner on the go in the breakfast room. David Kerr was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was served precisely on time and was delicious. Highly recommended.

A Beautiful farmhouse with lovely large rooms and all the amenities you would need. Our stay was made all the nicer by the warm welcome and care provided by the Hosts with helpful suggestions on places to visit. The...

We don't normally like to go back to the same place as there are so many other places to go. But Poplars is an exception - this was our 4th visit. Perfection really - the warm greeting, the comfort, the food, the beauty, the ice bucket and glasses for our bottle of bubbly!

A delightful b&b with some thoughtful extra touches. How many times have you stayed away only to find there are no power socket awailable to charge your phone or camera batteries. Extension leads had been placed in the bedrooms to cover this need. Beds were good, room was big and clean . The breakfast were excellent. We shall use this...

This is a quiet and peaceful place with access to numerous walks, the rooms are very spacious and kept immaculate, the owners are very helpful. The breakfast is really good and not to be missed. There are two local public houses in the village that both do lunch & evening meals and they have arranged a discount on your meals...
