B&B close to Calais, Eurotunnel, Ferries, Nausicaa, Cap Blanc-Nez, Cap Gris-Nez, Wissant, Saint-Omer.. Family rooms and independant kitchen to make your holidays easy
Very friendly host, clean and original rooms, well located, peaceful and quiet. The little extra every morning over breakfast (pancakes or "pain perdu") are very well appreciated - especially with the kids!

I was thrilled to have found this wonderful little place to stay with my dog before catching the Eurotunnel the following morning. So comfortable and warm and a very relaxing atmosphere. Was made to feel very welcome. When I do the trip again this is where I’ll try to stay.

Nicolas is the perfect host. Breakfast is delicious, especially the French toast and homemade preserves. Our room was warm and cosy, clean and beautifully decorated. The setting overlooking the lake is perfect. Thoroughly recommended!

We needed a cheap room for three nights while we looked for a mobile Home. We chose this due to proximity to one of the sites we were Viewing, and they had donkeys! The owner could not be any friendlier, waiting for us when our crossing was delayed without being in any way put out. The room is impeccable, great heating too...we have been very cold mid winter in some hotels, not here though. The room is well equipped, and there was a decent stock of tea and coffee The shower was sent directly from heaven! Really hot and powerful enough to blast the sleep from my brain. There are donkeys too...did I mention them? If you want a lovely, cheap, place to stay, don’t hesitate to book this place. (Bring carrots)

Spacious, attractively decorated room. Very quiet, yet within easy reach of Ardres and other places of cultural and natural interest. Good breakfast (delicious "pain perdu") eaten in a sunny breakfast room.

We were looking for somewhere to stay for a night on the way to England and came across this place which seemed to offer us what we were seeking, a little taste of typical French rural tranquility in easy reach of the Channel. Set just outside the edge of the small town of Ardres the farm is a haven of peace. The long main farm building has been divided into several individual rooms each with its own bathroom and door opening directly onto the gravelled area outside. At the end of the building was a breakfast room with a small terrace overlooking the lake of Ardres. The farm has extensive grounds, mostly pasture extending down to the lake itself and plenty of gravelled parking near to the main buildings. The owner, who met us on our arrival, has converted the farm and decorated much of the farm himself preserving a simple rural French style throughout. The bed in our room was large and comfortable with a large traditional French wardrobe serving both its intended purpose and to host the television etc preserving the rustic simplicity of the room itself. The simple breakfast of bread and jam was served in the shared breakfast area. The owner prepared pancakes on request for anyone who wanted them. The bread was very fresh and the homemade jams delicious. Our stay, though short, fulfilled our expectations, we slept well, the breakfast was good and the owner was friendly and helpful in our search for a local restaurant for our evening meal. This is a great little place to stay for a night or two particularly to break the journey on the way to or from the UK.…

A very simple rustic and quite charming bed and breakfast. VeryClean and lovely French bed linen. Great for the tunnel and ferries but deserves longer stays. Lots of restaurants nearby but Sunday nights can be tricky though we found one open. Great breakfast

Despite arriving in torrential rain we were immediately welcomed by Nicolas to his lovely property. Our room was typically French and had all the facilities we required. Our bed was so comfortable that I slept better than I have in a long time. There were tea and coffee making facilities in our room, free wifi and even a tv, though this stayed in the wardrobe unused by us! Nicolas was a fantastic host and it was nice to chat to him at breakfast time as he cooked our delicious pancakes or french toast. The bread was varied each day and very fresh and the homemade jams each day were gorgeous (did you really make them yourself Nicolas?) Well worth our visit and we will be back......soon.

Fermette du Lac is a cosy B&B just outside Ardres, where we stayed for 3 nights in low season. It is just off the road to Ardres and easy to reach by car. We received a warm welcome with all the information we needed. The room is not too big, very cosy, very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was amazing, the bathroom had a great shower, soap and towels; and there was also coffee and tea. The breakfast was very much to our liking with every morning different homemade marmelade, other sweet spreads, something warm like 'pain perdu' or pancakes, coffe or tea some cheese and fresh bread. We really enjoyed those mornings with a splendid view on the lake and entertaining, interesting talks with our host. He was always prepared to give good advice on some walks or things to visit. We would gladly advise this B & B to everyone: couples, small families or people travelling alone; and we hope to return soon ourselves! Thank you Nicolas for a very pelasant stay!…

What a great find this delightful B&B was with it's welcoming host. Whilst we were using this as a one night stop for the tunnel it would definitely be worthwhile making a longer stop here. It has a great location being next to the countryside but just a few minutes drive from the motorway and channel tunnel. The building has been sympathetically renovated and the room (Romance) that we had was delightful - spacious, clean and beautifully presented. We took the breakfast at €7.50 and it is great value, on our stay Nicolas cooked pancakes and there was a selection of his home made jams which were delicious, and everything was offer with great care and attention. Nicolas has been welcoming guests for 15 years and he has that rare gift of making your stay feel personal and important. Highly recommended.…
