Always a favourite. Had a small issue with my salmon sandwich today, but it was rectified immediately, with no fuss, and was delicious. Not the cheapest place in the alps, but as in many things, you get what you pay for. Worth a look inside, too. Alpine grandeur at its best.

The only place to stay to experience the wonder of the Eiger and Breath-taking scenery of the Jungfrau . The Service was first class, nothing was too much trouble, every meal was divine. We stayed in a 3rd floor corner room with window view towards the Eiger and balcony to the Jungfrau. There is no lift or television but the...

I have wanted to stay in this hotel for a long time and this summer I managed it. It did not disappoint. It may not be to everyone's taste as it is quiet but I loved it. The food was excellent, the staff were welcoming and helpful and it was glorious to feel like you had the mountain almost all...

Our family stayed here for one evening while hiking the Eiger Trail. We have skied past the hotel on many occasions and were eager to spend the night before hitting the trail. We could not have been more pleased with our stay or meals. The hotel is straight out of the past with antique furnishings and art works on display...

Loved this place. Fantastic old hotel that retained all its historical flavor, while encompassing modern comforts. The room was very pretty with matching cloth wallpaper, lamps and curtains. The bathroom was superb, with a nice claw foot tub that enabled you to take a luxurious bath while gazing at the Eiger. Cannot get better than this.

An incredibly original and unique experience for anyone interested in the Eiger and a bit of history. The hotel could not have been more perfect and the service was world-class. We were lucky to be there on a national holiday so the 7 course dinner on Aug 1st (served at Christmas, New Year's and Swiss National Day) was spectacular. The...

Had lunch here whilst skiing loved the atmosphere of the hotel and felt like we'd gone back in time to a different era. Food was good not cheap but well worth it for a special treat. Was nice to walk on carpets with our ski boots on and not be frowned at
