Basic 2-2.5 star budget hotel in small town Wilderwsil. Close to the railway station and small supermarket a plus. Next town Interlaken Ost is the next station which has the many tourist shops and restaurants, paragliding, old churces, and posh hotels. Okay selection of buffet breakfast. Note that the 25 Euros Swiss fondue dinner (including buffet dinner afterwards) by Expat...

Walls are made of plywood, so thin you hear EVERYTHING!!! If someone has the sniffles or is talking, they can keep you awake. Kids fortunately were not there or else my wife and I would have had a fit! 5 rooms to a floor, with bathrooms on 2 of the 3.. Everytime someone walks or uses the toilet, you know...

What a great hotel it's more like a 3 story house. Owned by 2 friends. Renovated. Stairs but the great looking guy will carry up your suitecase. Views views views wonderful. Decorating wonderful cottage styled mixed with trational and modena. Love the lighting. Food was wonderful and Switzerland cruise. Scenery wow. There's also a train into Interlaken which only takes...

Stayed in Alpenrose Hotel and Gardens during our trip to Jungfraujoch. Located in a small town called Wilderswil near Interlaken, the place is postcard-perfect you'd never want to leave. The accommodation are basic but clean and well-maintained. The owner, Mr. Carl Cronje personally maintains the place and even does the gardening himself. The place is also a few minutes walk...

Great price service ratio; small very clean room, great view, calm location. There was even a little hairdryer in the bathroom and a kettle with teabags and instant coffee. Breakfast offers a great variety of food and drinks ( 3 cold cuts, cream cheese and cheese slices -those however might rather be a tad more local ;-) -, fresh, dried...

Perfect hotel for our stay in Switzerland. The place is awesome as well as the hotel staff. They are very accommodating especially the lady on the bar and the lovely lady who work on the restaurant during our breakfast and dinner. I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Switzerland. Walking distance on the Wilderswil train station and a...

I stayed here for 2 nights during a 12-day European coach trip with Expat Explore, which started from London. For a 2-star hotel, this feels like a 3-star one and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Coincidentally, this hotel is owned by one of the founders of Expat Explore, but saying that, I believe this hotel was chosen as our...

This hotel is designed more like a bed and breakfast. The atmosphere was awesome, it is located near a few stores but the train and bus system was two minutes walk away, very reliable transit system. The hotel appears to have been built and placed within the valley of the mountains surrounding it. EVERY room have a wonderful view of...

The hotel is very much a traditional old Swiss building with antique furnishings and a lovely garden out the back. I think there is some refurbishment of bathrooms going to be done on some rooms but my room and, in particular, my bathroom were in excellent condition. The location in the quaint town of Wilderswil is ideal for walks and...

This hotel is owned by Expat Tours and made for a beautiful stop in Switzerland. It is located in a quaint town called Wilderswil. The streets of the town are so picturesque with a-frame style chalets and mountains in the background. Wilderswil is a short train ride to Interlaken (the hotel gives free train tickets) with the station right down...
