It's a hotel with a lot of character, the rooms were clean and very spacious with an outdoor seating area with a glimpse of the straits of Messina. I was on the 3rd floor and there was no offer of any help with my luggage despite their being no lift. The water was only lukewarm at best in the morning...

Agreeable hotel in 18th century villa right beneath the Castello Ruffo in the charming town of Scilla. We were told nonchalantly at the reception that our room was on the third floor and there was no lift. No offer to help carry our suitcases up the 52 steps. Room under the roof: comfortable enough but water in the bathroom tepid...

What a great find Scilla was. We were like excited little kids on Christmas day when we walked into our beautiful rooms at this hotel. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and the views from our balconies were incredible. How often can you sit on your balcony and look at a castle!! Just one complaint, we were overcharged by quite abit when we checked...

This is a lovely hotel, great staff and terrific breakfast. The only problem with this hotel is the beach. The area around Scilla is rocky, no sand, and lots of stinking jellyfish. Bad beach for kids...thus, not so wonderful. The village is charming, but not worth more than a night. Southern Italy has many superior beaches.

Wonderful experience. We were booked before a major medical convention took almost all the hotel rooms in Scilla. They flew the American flag in our honor as Guests of the Hotel. We had a great dinner at the Hotel restaurant (10% discount) The concierge was very helpful to our friends whose B&B was not open for check in when we...

This impeccably done hotel is right by the water and boasts a gorgeous restaurant. They offer rooms for multiple people and are decorated perfectly. My parents had a lemon tree on their balcony! We couldn't get over that. The staff is extremely helpful and the service is excellent. We felt pampered. The complimentary breakfast is hearty and beautifully laid out....

A truly spectacular place to spend time, relaxing one day, visiting charming villages the next. Lots of character with cobbled streets, Calabrian fishing village is a must, full of charm and wonderful locals. Worth paying for a seaview, stunning. The Hotel is very spacious, clean and perfect all round. You can see how much they care, its like visiting family,...

This is a very comfortable and well run establishment where great care is taken to make you feel at home. The substantial and very well decorated and cared for bedroom contains all you would need from a good sized flat screen TV through tea and coffee facilities (rare in Italian hotels) to toweling dressing gowns. Everything was spotlessly clean and...
