The hotel is standard Ibis format (simple rooms, basic bathrooms) but in a wonderful location. On the border of the Avesnois and Thierache areas (both lovely and out of the way), it's situated on one of a series of small lakes, which provide fishing, swimming, limited watersports, walking, mini-golf (some of these seasonal). There's a restaurant next door, but when it's closed (seems seasonal too) the hotel can provide snacks, and also a map of the nearby town with restaurants highlighted (and some deals). You'll need a car (or bike if fit). It's run by a delightful older couple. All in all, very pleasant

Superb location we loved it however when we arrived around 5 or 86 pm we could not find anyone to check us in. We had also booked a grand bed not a twin and were told it was not available. The room was good however we really needed the air conditioning that day and the wall monitor was not working.Breakfast coudl have been better the croissant was very dry and could not finish it.

The hotel is situated in a in a wooden area next to a lake. The rooms are small however if you are using this for a stop over as I was this is not a problem. There is a town nearby however it was very quiet when I was there so do not expect much.If you do not fancy going out there is a limit bar and bar meals available. Just across from the hotel is a stall which sells burgers, hot dogs ectch which I suspect is very busy in the summer. If you are an early bird there is a large wood directly behind the hotel with a number of paths to explore. Breakfast is continental style and basic but cost 10 euro's. The staff spoke better English than I can speak French (none) and were very polite and helpful.

Small rooms with poor heating. I do not like the in house cat walking around in the breakfast all over the tables.Evening food options not very good and over cooked to the point of being inedible. nice location and a convenient stop over point

No Rolls or Bagett, no toaster a few pasties and plastc meats and cheese from a local low cost supermarket all for the sum of an additonal sum of €12! The rooms were pretty clean and basic, but no coffee making facilities

Rooms small and dark. Breakfast was poor..stale croissants and not very nice coffe... im at fault also for not speaking much french but the receptionist spoke no English at all! The area around the hotel though...wow.. beautiful ... a man made beach with a net so far into the water so you can swim.just not with the huge carp that are present in the lake..fishing is allowed in the lake to the right of the hotel looking out..and three lovely lakes to the left with woodlands to walk around..an inflatable play park for children..peddle go karts and pony rides are available aswell as kayaks and peddaloes to play on the lake ..

This is a very, very run down hotel. the rooms are small and don't have many facilities. Small badly kept rooms and bathrooms which don't look very clean but probably are. We decided to to have breakfast as we wanted to get out as quickly as possible. However, it is in a beautiful location surrounded by woods and a lake. Also, there is a nice restaurant next door.

We stayed overnight here on the way back from Belgium to Paris. We arrived very late and check in was easy and fast. Our room, facing the front, was quiet even with the window open. The room itself is your basic Ibis room - it is adequate. Breakfast in the lobby area is fine - we were there relatively late in teh morning but I suspect it coudl get crowded. The young lady at the breakfast area/reception was friendly and efficient.
