Hotel Luisiana is truly a hidden gem among the giants! Just far enough off the beaten path to ensure a safe and quiet, yet convenient, stay in the Escazu/Santa Ana area. Wonderful staff, great accomodations and good value. It is our go to home away from home, when travelling to the Central Valley.

good size rooms and bathrooms, decorated with taste. the 3rd floor rooms have no verandas. we liked the pool and all this is not too far from shopping centers if you have a car and 30 minutes from the airport. you get a good complimentary breakfast. there is not a lot of choice on the menu but food is very...

This little hotel is convenient for shopping to the mall and big box stores. This hotel is priced very reasonably . Large rooms with mini fridges and very spacious bathrooms and first and second floors have little verandas. I would avoid the third floor if possible rooms have no outdoor verandas if you like to sit out. There is a...

We spent two nights in this hotel while planning what to do in Costa rica. Designed by a former super bike champion (who presumably stayed in a lot of hotels in his career) the rooms are huge and with big all tiled bathrooms. The swimming pool area is perfect and, as it was low season, we had it all to...

(Expedia +gold member). tried to charge me $3 dollars for a paper copy... breakfast is nasty and dirty, same people that clean the rooms and toilets make breakfast. Found multiple blood spots on the wall, had to call front desk...

I used to stay at this hotel often over the previous 3-4 years; however, I will no longer be staying here after my last visit 2 days ago. Everything is dirty. Everything. Sat down for breakfast and a guy comes out in his pajamas to serve us. Dirty table mats, dirty glasses, and the guy serving the breakfast - disgusting....

This hotel is nicely located away from the madness of San Jose. Quiet and confortable, and worth it for a night indeed. I got a good deal online, but it looks like the regular prices are very high, so check well before you book. The place is nice, as long as it has a good value.
