I came to Nasu for the first time. We are a family with children.

It was a last minute (about 10 days in advance) booking and I stayed in a classic room with very few rooms available.
The Classic Room is a room before renovation, so I wasn't expecting much, but it's still a bit disappointing to see.

Good point
There was a place for the kids to play, and they never got bored. It's a bit younger, so the outdoor playground equipment might be better for kids. We couldn’t go outside because it was raining this time…

Something that caught my attention
Amenities: The whole place is a mess, and I have no idea how big my children's yukata is.
It is just on the shelf, so it will remain as it is if the person who takes it shifts it.
I think we should do something like put more in a basket.

Room:So it says "sanitised"...towels were also in the chest, but is the chest sanitized? I wonder.
It's kind of small in a unit bath, but the inside of the toilet was pretty dirty and sloppy.
You don't even know what air conditioning is? And it was hot and hot.
Sink tap, mixed flush tap type nowadays ... it's hard to regulate the temperature and it's hard to turn it off. Coming to the hotel, this is a little disappointing.

Towels: I used a face towel for hand wipes because I don't have a toilet towel and had a hard time using it in the bath.

Public bath: Unhygienic due to the ambiguous position of outer footwear and slippers. I saw some people who just walked in without knowing.

Rice: As per the preliminary survey, it was an amazing variety!! It was a bit like the conductors were not working. I also found it annoying that people who didn't seem to understand the explanations at all for things that I cooked myself, put raw meat in the shabu-shabu pot. lol I would like to see a little more explanation. Elaborate dishes are good, but I want simple ones too. I found it hard for children to get vegetables. There was no corn, broccoli, cucumber, or anything. The corn soup is also cold.

The kids were really enjoying it, so next time I'll book early and stay in the safari room.

Classic rooms don't have Lipi, but if it's a renovated room, maybe there is Lipi?

The Royal Hotel building was rebranded on April 1st. The lobby floor and hot spring facilities were renovated, but the rooms were the same. Some room types seem to have been remodeled. It is an all-inclusive hotel. There is a lounge on the first floor lobby floor, and from 15:00 to 18:00, you can help yourself to draft beer, wine, sparkling wine, soft drinks, and snacks in paper cups. There is also a nightcap from 21:00 to 23:00, and the alcohol menu has changed to draft beer, sparkling wine, whiskey, shochu, cocktails, and soft drinks. The snacks have not changed. Dinner and breakfast are buffet style on the top floor (13th floor). There was no time limit for dinner, probably because it was a weekday. There was a wide variety of Japanese, Western, Chinese, and dessert dishes, and I had a hard time deciding what to eat. Of course, it is alcohol-free. There was also a baby food buffet. At breakfast, there was only sparkling wine, but there was also alcohol. I was mostly in the lounge, restaurant, and hot springs, so I only went back to the room to sleep. My family was very happy because we were able to stay at a cheap plan right after the rebranding opened.

The room was designed so that children could enjoy it. The welcome drink service and children's plaza were also great. I was impressed with how well it was renovated.

I was sorry about the dish. He's probably not bad at it, but despite thinking about his kids in terms of facilities, the seasoning is so varied that there's no menu for kids to be happy with. Strongly spiced dishes and gluten-free menus. This hotel rarely hosts stylish office workers :) I'm leaning on why they sprinkle tons of shichimi on kids-friendly fried chicken. Regular European-style curry is also fine. At least put some normal fries and some normal fried chicken. The family next door said exactly the same thing.

If I add another point, the public bath is too stylish. First, I don't know where to take my slippers off. I usually think you take it off where there is a step through the curtain. Then the cleaning lady scolded me to take it off when I entered the automatic door. There's no way I know that because it doesn't say anything. At the very least, I want you to write, "Please take your slippers off here." The rest area was wastefully large despite the dark space, and no one was using it. Why not at least put down a massage chair or create a relaxation section? It made me realize that everything should be stylish.

I think that the reason there are many tsukkomi spots in various ways is because it has not yet been renewed and reopened. It was a pleasant stay, but I thought that if I didn't improve my cooking as soon as possible, I wouldn't be able to expect a repeat of my family with children.

I was a little confused by the gap between photos and directions on the Reservation site and when I arrived. I thought it was an adult hotel, but it was family friendly?? It was not suitable for those of us who wanted to stay quiet with lots of children. I went to enjoy the lounge at night, but the surroundings were a little noisy. Still, the morning buffet was great.
The breakfast, which we ate in the scenery overlooking the plateau, had an excellent menu and taste.
It was a shame that the room was old and the toilet and bath were small.

We stayed in the safari room twice before the renovation, and the kids and adults were very happy, so we stayed in the safari room again. I was worried that many people would say they were sorry if it was renewed by word of mouth… but that anxiety was right.

Sorry for the positives, but there are only a few.

In the lobby lounge, there were free sweets, juices, wine and so on.

The safari room remained the same, and kids were overjoyed!!
They also enjoyed the picture books and stuffed animals in the elevator hall.

Something bad.
The kids’ play space in the lobby was really for little kids… (my kid is in the first grade, so I just barely enjoyed it) Maybe it should not be for preschoolers in the first place, but it felt like something.
I wanted to have a beer because there's draft beer in the lobby lounge...a barrel of beer? I was struggling with the exchange quite a bit … I’m sure you’ve done it many times, so let’s make it smooth. I waited patiently and finally got a draft beer.
The lights in the hotel were generally dim (or, at best, nice) and dust fluttering through the air.
Mainly written in English followed by Japanese.
I guess they made it for foreigners.

The thing I want to see improved the most is the buffet for dinner. I guess the dishes for kids were corn soup, napolitan and potatoes? I forgot, but that's it.... There were several kinds of baby food.
Adult food didn't taste good, maybe it was multinational. (It was a fancy dish.) Depending on your child's age, there might be almost nothing your child can eat. Fried chicken is also spicy, so it's not very, but kids can't. My child is allergic to nuts, but I had no choice but to give him butter chicken curry.
I thought this would be okay because it was sweet.
This may be said to be a parent's fault, but cashew nuts were apparently used in butter chicken curry, causing anaphylaxis.
I rushed back to my room because my kid was coughing like he was going to vomit while he was eating, I called the front desk and inquired if there were any nuts in butter chicken curry, and they called me back and they finally called me back… They said they only had 7 allergy labels so I couldn’t tell… It's on the line. I was a little bit angry and told him I would look at the package and he would call me back. The next time I got a call from a restaurant, I finally found out it contained cashew nuts.
Only seven items are required to be labeled, and I checked out and came home without saying anything because I had fed them at my parents' discretion, but if you have a Children's Welcome, please increase your meals for children. At least have curry and fried chicken for kids. By the way, children's curry was served at breakfast. Even if you don't label 21 allergies, you should be able to answer them immediately. If you want it to look like a multinational dish, it would be safer for the hotel to display 21 items because you don’t know what’s in it.
I was able to come home without incident this time, but the thought that my child might have died if I hadn't done that makes me shudder and I don't want to go there again. I hope it doesn't happen to other children.
