This hotel is managed by Mori Building and is close to the Imperial Villa. It is not a recent construction, but the rooms have been renovated and are clean. The baths are on the 4th and 5th floors, and alternate between men and women on a daily basis. There is only one open-air bath. The spring quality is a milky white sulfur spring. The water is drawn from the original spring, so the sulfur smell is not extremely strong. The portions of the food were just right. Recently, hot spring inns have been giving out more food than you can finish, which can be a problem, but in an aging society, I think it's good to have a system where you can adjust the amount of food to an appropriate amount and add extra dishes. The bed was comfortable. It wasn't too luxurious, but not too shabby either, so it was just the right hotel for us.

It was a family trip with my dog, wife, daughter, and son. We stayed at the Dog Cottage. The room was spacious and well-cleaned, and we were able to stay comfortably in the room. There was a dog toilet and playpen, so it was a good environment for the dog. The staff were also kind.
It was raining, so it was a little difficult to get to the hot spring from the Dog Cottage. The hot spring was very good, but a little lukewarm for me.
I think it would be better for dog lovers if there were a walkway for walking dogs or a dog run. Considering the price, it was good value for money overall, and I would recommend it to my friends.

“Laforet Nasu” is a hot spring resort located in the beautiful forest and next to the Nasu Imperial Villa.
It is at about 75mn north of Tokyo by Shinkansen.
It is basically a group hotel with limited facilities. It has 118 rooms with Tatami. It has common hot springs with indoor and outdoor bath.
It has two restaurants and the food for breakfast is quite average.
All the surrounding of the hotel are enclosed and the only way you can walk is by following the road. The village looks interesting and the surrounding view are beautiful.
The hotel by itself is very average and not really worth to visit.

Enjoyed staying at this hotel for 2 nights. The room was large enough for 2 people. The hotel staffs were nice, willing to help us enjoy staying.
Because of the busy season, only the buffet style meals were available when I booked the hotel. The quality of the food was very good, but I wish I could choose different kind of food on the second day.
The key of the room was not a card key and the hotel gave me only one key. It would be more convenient if the key was a card key and gave us 2 keys.
The view outside of the room window was excellent filled by large forest and Nasu mountains.
Although there are several things to improve, the hotel was good overall.

I was very satisfied with the cleanliness, spaciousness of the facilities, and hospitality.
The parking lot is also quite spacious, so I don't think you'll have any problems.
