Although there always seemed to be a number of loud and rambunctious young kids running around the lobby, we had a very nice 2-night stay. The 3 of us had a large, quiet, and bright corner room on the 9F, with 2 beds and a futon (in a separate tatami area). The resort is completely surrounded by woods, with great views of Mt. Nasu, has a nice onsen and swimming pool, serves good food (the French restaurant is surprisingly good), there are lots of nice cafes/restaurants in the area, and Mount Nasu is nearby with a cable car and nice trails. Highly recommended.

The food was great and had nice chocolate in the room with and nice view, bathroom and bed.It was interesting idea of the hotel’s lobby being like a mall and night gatherings and unlimited seats and a lot of trees at the parking lots.I enjoyed my stay and it was great ~ Isabel, 8
We loved our family stay at the hotel! The room was large and well-designed and could accommodate 3 adults and 2 children with enough space. We loved that they provided resort wear that we could wear to all our meals. Our stay came with breakfast and dinner and the food was delicious! There was also a section for children with everything set lower so they could help themselves to the food. We also enjoyed the lovely outdoor onsen. We didn’t use the indoor pool but it looked like the families and children had a lot of fun! There was ample parking and plenty of fun activities within a short drive. As always, the staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful.
One small note is that the hotel caters more to domestic Japanese tourists and the standard of English spoken was not very high. Nevertheless, we could get by with a bit of google translate.
Highly recommended for a more off the beaten track experience if you’re an international tourist!

There are some good things about this hotel. Firstly there's a shuttle bus from Nasu Shiobara Station. And secondly, it's set in a spectacular, leafy setting.
However, as we were a couple, it wasn't good for us. It was very unromantic. Dining was difficult due to the hoards of families with young children. There was a huge queue for breakfast, then for dinner, the only choice was the buffet because the French restaurant was closed for the week and the Japanese restaurant was fully booked. They did have a separate buffet area for young kids which was very well patronised, but the restaurant is huge and reminded me of a canteen.
There was only 2 lifts for the entire building so there was a lot of waiting. As we were on the third floor, we ended up taking the stairs.
Our room was large and comfortable but had no view, despite my requesting one.
Despite the lovely setting, you really need a car to get out and about as there's nothing in the way of alternative restaurants or attractions, nearby. The only saving grace for us was that our friends lived close by and drove us everywhere..

The food at the buffet and the hot springs were very delicious. It's great for kids.
However, it's a pain that you can't control the air conditioner. It's so hot at night in midsummer in May that you can't sleep. The windows are closed so you can't ventilate the room. (There is a ventilator in the room, but as you can imagine)
I called the front desk and they said that you can't control the air conditioner, and if it's hot, they'll lend you a portable fan. It's almost completely ineffective lol
It's a pain when you come to relax at a hotel and can't sleep because the room is too hot.

This is a hotel that I have been using for about 20 years. It is a place where three generations can relax, the buffet has a top-class selection of items, and the fresh vegetables are irresistible. For infants and toddlers, they lend out bouncers and have a wide range of baby food, and they will boil baby bottles if requested. 10 years ago... Now the quality has declined due to staff changes, but the convenience store has attentive staff who are not employees, and the breakfast on the 13th floor is a place that you can't get at other hotels, but I would appreciate it if the owner at the member reception desk would consider this, as I don't think I would want to renew my membership unless he changes his attitude.

We stayed here with three generations.
There was a heated pool, so we were able to play in it before checking in.
The Shinkizuna Room was spacious and renovated, and it even had a projector, which the kids loved.
The buffet had a wide variety of food, and we all enjoyed it and it was delicious.

This was our second time here. We came 2 years ago and were happy to return for a one-nighter in Nasu. We stayed in the Main tower. The room felt new. Big, comfortable and clean with a beautiful view on the forest and mountain. Nice big balcony.
The dinner and breakfast buffets are really great. Very enjoyable and well organized.
The swimming pool was fun. The public bath is spacious and very relaxing. Even if it is busy you can enjoy. Wonderful.
The hotel is spacious. The grounds are beautiful.
This is a family oriented hotel, so many kids. Lots of fun for them.
Staff are wonderful. Great service.
Love it. If you come to Nasu, Epinard is a solid choice.

We have booked one of the family rooms on the 3rd floor. It was spacious, clean and the interior is setup for families with babies or toddlers, e.g. toys and picture books are part of the interior, a sink in the bathroom at lower height, etc. Note that if you prefer a great view over the kids friendly interior, you may want to chose rooms at a higher floor. The 3rd floor definitely did not have an enjoyable view.
The breakfast and dinner buffet offered a lot of choices so you will find your favourite meal (they even offered veggie sushi).
We definitely enjoyed our stay and so did our daughter :-)

We spent a few days mid week at this large resort at the beginning of foliage season. The arrangements for me and my kids were made by my Japanese friend, who went with her child. I think it would be difficult to do without some help....at least in arranging a package, booking any foliage or other excursion trips, and getting other coupons and insights for the attractions in the area. Having said that, everyone at the hotel was very friendly and there were a couple staff members who spoke some English. The food on the buffet was very good and pleased even my picky Western children. There were lots of nice extras, including entertainment every night and random demonstrations like how to make ice cream during dinner. A highlight was the tree trekking course which was very reasonable and enjoyed by kids and adults. There is a large shallow pool and a big indoor/outdoor onsen. And we enjoyed some nice color from our large room (not in the annex). You could also take a pottery class or jewelry class, play tennis, or play put put golf. Lots to do! And, if you stay for more than one night and opt out of housekeeping service, you can get a voucher for the gift shop where you can buy some of the hotel's signature yummy miso dip for veggies!

We are so lucky to have Nina as our wedding planner, her extraordinary arrangement made our lives so much easier.
As we are long distance couple (my husband is in Canada and I'm in Hong Kong), Skype meeting was setup to discuss wedding details. Nina can speak fluent Mandarin, English and Japanese so communication is not a problem at all.
Having alpacas in pre-wedding photos and wedding ceremony is always my dream and I still can't believe it comes true! Hotel Epinard Nasu is superb, staff are friendly and helpful (shout out to Igarashi-san and Kumi!). They served great varieties of breakfast and the onsen is so relaxing!
Some of my friends arrived hotel very late at night, hotel is still able to arrange pick up service from JR station. It is definitely the most memorable and unique wedding party to us and all our guests, we will visit this hotel again in our next anniversaries ♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪

Hi!I think it doesn't need to book the NRX bus because you can book at Shinjuku bus station on the day. If you are worried, you may book online at the NRX bus. Moreover you can see timetable by online, too. It will takes about 2 or 3hours,I think. When you arrive at the station, you exit south of Shinjuku station. You can see "basuta Shinjuku" in front of the station.
If you can't understand about this, anything ask me!
