Loved this resort hotel...the Onsen shows it's age but the view is amazing. Amenities were included in the cleaning area. Rooms were clean and spacious, the dinner and breakfast buffet had a huge selection of Japanese and western food to choose from. The lobby had free juice, coffee and tea in the afternoon. A great view from the lobby. As...

Friendly and manner treatment with traditional hot spring facilities. Hot spring bath room did provide different type of beauty and personal products which you just need empty handed to enter the hot spring area. Room is huge and facing to sea with a great view. Morning breakfast buffet style with variance choice of Japanese local dish was great.

Good location and a good view if up high. Room #783 had our preferred western style bedding. Great that the room heating could be easily turned down and we could still open a window. Efficient small group tour check-in. A very large dining room and despite what others have written we loved the massive food choices and overall food quality...

We booked Shiretoko Drift Ice walk at 3pm, need to change to dry suit etc. The front desk is very strict about not letting anybody check in before 3pm even though the rooms were ready. I had the key from tour guide, went to the room, it was totally ready! But the rest of group did not do that, so...

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group. The hotel was another Ryokan style hotel, with tatami mats in the rooms (no shoes again!) but we were not going to be sleeping on the floor – just large single beds! And this was the very first hotel we had even been in that had a ‘fake’ log...

Staff spoke very poor English which was almost unbelievable as one of the best hotels in such a touristic area. Very little tourist information was provided and it looked a bit like the front desk staff never expected themselves to be asked such questions. Maybe it had something to do with their poor English. We booked a room with open...

For the area this is the best hotel, but for the money I didn't think it was really worth it. This was by far the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our time in Japan and whilst the onsen was great and the staff were super helpful, the rooms, decor and general ambiance of the place were not of...

My wife and I stayed at the main building room 451 of this hotel on 2016/10/06 as the second day of a guided group touring. The room was traditional Japanese tatami style. I gave this hotel a rating of 4 only due to relatively small room and heavy smell of cigarette smoking in the corridor. The dinner buffet and breakfast...

We checked in at 4pm, and were told that for dinner the kaiseki option was already booked out. Arrive early to snag a kaiseki dinner spot. The dinner buffet was above average with a great sashimi spread especially the aka ebi and ikura. The ice creams were great too, love the pumpkin and yuzu flavours. Onsen was very ordinary and...
