Stayed 4 nights at Tokyu Hotel for my recent ski trip in Hakuba. It is conveniently located near Happo-one, which is the largest ski resort in the area. It took no more than 5 minutes by shuttle bus and 15 minutes by walk to the lifts/gondola. Some of the rooms facing north have alpine views. Hotel staff are helpful and...

Just got back from two nights at the Tokyu Hotel in Hakuba. The hotel is located a few minutes drive from the Happo One slopes. It snowed the whole weekend, so there was always fresh powder, but visibility was poor at the top of the mountain. So my knees are killing, as I had to keep them bent the whole...

This is a beautiful hotel. The restaurants provided delicious food in a lovely setting. Buses took us right to the lifts at each of the ski resorts. The onsen here is lovely with indoor & outdoor bathing. Highly recommend this hotel!

Although the place is not within walking distance to town, we were surprise to be offered a ride to town for a meal by the hotel. Not only that, the hotel pick us up again after our meal! Great service!!! After our ski session, and after missing the pickup bus that went around ski resorts, as we were in a...

We stayed here for 14 days for our honeymoon while snowboarding in Hakuba and it was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were big and the view was just beautiful. We stayed in room 321 with mountain views. (we recommend paying a bit more for mountain view rooms because it's so much prettier than the car park view on the other side)...

We have stayed 5 nights for ski from Hong Kong. Hakuba Tokyo Hotel is beautiful and very nice hotel with their high quality of service, very tasty and comfortable atmosphere, and also convenient place for ski. I was with three children, but it was very easy access to ski station by shuttle bus, only 5 minutes. The restaurant is also...

Spent 6 nights at this hotel in Hakuba doing the ski thing which was great. Pros - Friendly & helpful staff, Onsen small but comfortable & refreshing, good location for access to skiing, restaurants & common areas good. Cons - Room a bit dated, beds & pillows the worst we had in Japan = not one good nights sleep in...

It's a comfortable hotel. I stayed there for a week. The view is nice and different in the day time and at night. Although I don't like the green colour of the wall painting, the room is comfortable and quiet. The only pity is the outdoor spa/onsen which will be closed if there's snow on the roof. The outdoor onsen...

Hakuba Tokyu Hotel Stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2012, rated 5 star, ski resort hotel in Wadano area of Hakuba. Decor has an alpine lodge feel, rooms are spacious with separate toilet. A bit dated but clean and well heated. They have "Tempur" pillows which according to the blurb, uses material originally designed by NASA to distribute body...

Its a standard Japanese style hotel so expect generally only twin rooms, small pillows, usually nearly clueless staff though tried to be helpful, etc. Unexpected side is most staff speak some english including hotel bus driver whom picked us at the Happo bus station, well equipped ski gear, lockers etc but supplied gear is generally a bit on the tired...
