It ticks all the boxes . 4 star , close to lifts, Ibsen, bars, pubs, ski shop etc . They need to improve the bathroom but the onsen is the better option anyway . Happy hour is good and after hours the vending machine . Family owned and operated , friendly and very helpful staff especially Natsuki . Disco bus...

Mominoki is excellently located with plenty of on site restaurants and bars. Ski rental at Rhythm ski rental was excellent and adjacent to the hotel. It is a short walk to the lift up Happo One but you can take the bus to the gondola and the other mountains just out front at Rhythm sports. We had poor snow this...

Although the grounds are beautiful with their multiple fireplaces and great onsen, very lodge like looking, it is screaming for a renovation. I don't think anything has been done since the Olympics, which is not uncommon for hotels in this area. We loved hanging out by the fireplace during happy hour, relaxing in the onsen and the location was very...

Second visit to Mominoki and still enjoyed it. The whole place is a little 90's style but it's quite quaint. Breakfast caters more to Japanese taste buts you can still find options to suit. The beds are comfy but the room temperature is hard to control. It's either hot or hotter. Something in the rooms sets my allergies off though...

We have just had an 11 night stay at this unique hotel and it was a super experience. I had booked a standard twin which was too small so we paid the difference to upgrade to a delux for about $70 Aud per night and it was well worth it. Upgraded room was on an end with extra windows and...

Great place to base a skiing holiday with family. Staff are very helpful and the rooms are quite large for a hotel in Japan. Shuttle bus makes transport to town, train, restaurants is excellent. only a 5 minute walk to Happo One ski resort, so can save the legs for skiing.

This Hotel is fantastic. The staff cannot do enough to help you (just be patient in overcoming language difficulties you will get there in the end.) The staff will book any restaurant that you desire in advance and organise for the hotels bus to take you to dinner and return. It was so good having that decision taken out of...

A lovely hotel in a mountain resort with a restaurant onsite & four at your door A Japanese bath house on the first floor Great bar with a fireplace to watch the snow fall. Walk to the ski lifts via the road there in 5 minutes no need for a tow.

Outstanding customer service in this hotel the staff are amazing. Hotel is so comfy with lovely fires lit in the evening. Best Japanese buffet in town - food is delicious. Rooms are nice, a little small and the bathroom is somewhat of an afterthought however this is normal in Japan. The hotel has a party bus that drops you anywhere...

Stayed at this great little place 18-26 Jan 2016, I have to admit, I was a bit nervous after reading some past reviews, but how wrong was I. This is a special little hotel with the friendliest staff, all had a good grasp on their English, a few Aussie staff always ready to help, spend many nights in the bar...
