Hotel landscape is fantastic. Big lawn with view of Towada Lake. Onsen is great with beautiful view of autumn leaves and a glimpse of Towada Lake. Services are great. Souvenir shop, though small, but offer good varieties. The two drawbacks are 1) room condition that is due for renovation and 2) wif-fi connection which is only available at lobby and...

visited this onsen hotel during "koyo-hunting" in Oirase and Towada-ko. the hotel is on the west rim of the lake with a big garden overlooking it. we had chosen the French dinner course and it was very nice. The open onsen was good. Downside - it looks a bit run down w/o any lift. there is not much choice in...

Stayed here for 2 nights during which the Towada lake fireworks took place. The hotel has a lovely vantage point across the lake from where we could have a lovely view of the fireworks (hanabi). The restaurant staff was very friendly and made conversation which gave it a nice personal touch to the service. The room was nice, comfy and...

Our three day stay at the Towada Prince was delighful, made even more so by a wonderfully attentive staff who willingly answered our endless questions about exploring the area. The wait staff in the dining room were outstanding, especially Midori who went to great lengths to ensure our every need was met. The outdoor spa was part of our daily...

We had a very nice April day visiting Oirase, taking the Towada cruise and ending up at the Towada Prince for the evening. Reading the yearly reviews below, not much has changed...but that does not reflect negatively at all. The Towada Prince "strengths" include a great lakeside location. For the outdoor person or nature landscape lover, its creates an awesome...

I reached early on 29 Oct at Towadako station therefore I had lunch on top of the JR station and had a stroll at the lake. It was really beautiful. I walked to the tourist visitor centre at Towadoko and it is very beautiful with free strong wifi. They provide seats for tourist that is facing the lake. The autumn...

This is one of the more low key Prince Hotels in Japan. Food excellent. Friendly staff. We took a room at the back in the autumn fall saving £750 on four nights. Didn't regret it since the autumn colours are front and back. WiFi operated at a snails pace, 64k. Can't complain since it's a long way out around the...

Hotel area nice -- air conditioning in the rooms is TERRIBLE. HAD TO BUY AN OSCILLATING FAN TO KEEP COOL AT NIGHT. Complained twice to front desk -- nothing done. need to change their dining menu daily

The hotel is an older but well-maintained property, with a very good restaurant. It is located on a quieter shore of the lake and feels private and secluded. The best part of staying here was the beautiful natural setting with an expansive lawn extending down to a tree-lined lakeshore. The sunrise was the most beautiful I had seen in years.

We booked this hotel for a weekend at the brilliantly beautiful Lake Towada. We arrived late at night, and initially weren't impressed. The room was boring-decor motel-basic with a small all-plastic bathroom. It didn't seem worth the price (over $250). There was only green tea in the room, and a drinks vending machine in the hallway. We changed our minds...
