This is my second time staying at Esther's. Everything was once again excellent. Breakfast is always a highlight. Two comfortable and clean rooms, and Esther makes you feel at home. We were greeted with a nice glass of lemonade. There have been additions since my first stay, there is now a nice big patio for the breakfast area, and a...

Great hostess, healthy breakfast options (hard to find in Central America), clean and comfortable. A nice patio are for relaxing with one of the many fine cigars available in Esteli. Its a little outside of town, but Esther provides transportation to town and taxis are readily available for the return trip.

Staying with Esther at B&B Villa Riviera was definitely a highlight of our trip! Her home and the room were lovely and inviting, Diesel the dog was a friendly pup to pet and fawn over, and we were so close to all the action of Esteli while enjoying peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was delicious, and Esther is full of so much...

I didn't sleep over here, but heared that Esther offers a great tour. So I booked it! In one day we drove from Esteli - Miraflor - Yali - San Rafael del Norte - Jinotega - Selva Negra - Concordia - Esteli. Esther is really amazing, super kind, knows great places (where no tourist go) and is very flexible. She...

Esther has a very bright and sunny home in a beautiful, high end area of Esteli. From the moment we arrived to the time we left she was gracious, helpful host with a big smile and warm heart. When we first arrived she offered us cookies and freshly made juice from starfruit. Esther is a wealth of information about Nicaragua...

Esther and her place was all and more than I expected. We do not speak Spanish and wanted a safe, clean place to work from. Let me start with our first imagine of Esther's great welcoming smile at her gate to ensure we were at the right place. Food- all homemade. Esther's homemade kombucha gets your digestion on track! After a long drive from Managua we arrived here to find Esther at the front gate with a huge welcoming smile on her face. I immediately felt at home and relaxed and knew we would have a great experience here. Esther showed us to our rooms which were super cute and comfortable and then brought us some juice out on...

Because we are Flemish we found it pleasant to speak Dutch with owner Esther who told us a lot about living in Nicaragua. It is a pleasant b & b with a nice terrace. The breakfast was almost entirely self-made and delicious. Good coffee too. For the price you can not find a better B & B throughout Nicaragua

The owner of this little place manages it in such a way that you don't feel your staying at a b&b but rather a friend's house. The owner is very knowledgeable in the whole area and super friendly! The whole place is very clean and the room we stayed had a nice feeling too it, very homely. The bathroom had...

I spent three nights in January at the end of my trip in Nicaragua. Esther is a lovely and friendly host that makes you feel very welcome giving you loads of information about Nicaragua and life as an expat in Esteli. The B&B is not is the center of Esteli but it can be reached walking for 30 mins or...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
I'm a Dutch expat who always wanted to start a B&B in another country. In 2009 I sold my house in the Netherlands, quit my job as a bank manager and bought a ticket to Ecuador. I lived there for a while, but it wasn't the place for me. I then decided to go for my second choice; Nicaragua. I arrived here in Esteli in 2011 and fell in love with the place and the people and bought a house. I'm an outgoing person who speaks English, Dutch, German and Spanish fluently. I used to speak French as well, but somehow when I learned Spanish, the French got a bit lost along the way :) It has always been my pleasure to welcome people to my house and pamper them with great atmosphere, food and drinks. Here I would like to do the same. I would like to make you feel very welcome in my B&B. Hope to see you very soon :)E ... more   less
