decent sized car park, warm welcome after a very long day. Comfy room with modern shower. Excellent tea tray which had hot chocolate & biscuits as well as the usual tea and coffee. Had the "Snowdon" breakfast - good food, well cooked. Evening meals - again good food well cooked. How good it was can be judged by the large...

So pleased your stay at the Grapes was a pleasant one. 20 years ago the Grapes was the most popular pub/restaurant in North Wales, if not Wales. Unfortunately it has been in different hands and managers for the past 15 years experiencing highs and lows. Since we bought the freehold from the brewery in May 2016 our family are slowly...

We popped in for something to eat and received a good welcome. As we had our dog with us we could only sit in the bar area. The menu was comprehensive with plenty to chose from. The good was lovely and plentiful.

Stumbled across this place by accident and I'm glad we did! Delicious and well presented food, friendly and helpful staff and beautiful scenery! Highly recommend and will definitely be returning! Only went for a meal this time but may consider booking as a hotel stay in future!

Thank you for your review, really pleased you came across the famous Grapes, it is the most popular pub/restaurant for locals and hidden away in Maentwrog. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Excellent food, really nice atmosphere and a nice place to unwind. We visited with friends and kids, and a dog, all welcome in the back room type area. Great selection of beers, both local and bigger stuff which was nice. Prices were reasonable and I think the meals came out about as quick as I have ever seen, well impressed!

Lovely meal, accompanied by a beautiful view of the Welsh valleys through the conservatory. Our food was freshly prepared and the portion sizes were huge. The waiting staff were very friendly, and I look forward to returning.

Very pleased that you had a good time at the Grapes. The views from the back will soon be an even better experience, there will be a balcony and decking area for our customers to enjoy their meals and stunning views. We look forward to seeing you again soon hopefully.

Went with our 1 year old and enjoyed a friendly service. Food was nice and the specials on offer sounded delicious. Steak and ale pie was tasty as were the home cooked chips. Service was quick and dinner was quite cheap with a lovely view (in the back near the big windows). We would go again.

A really humbling review which we as owners and our staff thrive for and appreciate. All the hard work since buying the site in May is slowly coming into place, it is quite amazing that we have customers travelling 2 hours just to come for an evening meal and enjoying the atmosphere with our locals. We look forward to seeing...

Our first visit to The Grapes since new owners and would highly recommend. Visited for a meal on Monday lunchtime and had a lovely burger. Home cooked chips and onion rings with quality burger with toppings, and a large portion. Good value for money. Dog friendly in the bar with dog biscuits and water. Service great for us plus dogs!...

The last time I visited The Grapes I vowed I would never go back. About 2 years ago it was awful. On Saturday I was looking for somewhere close by and decided to give the place another chance as it seemed to have changed hands last year. I'm really delighted that it is under new ownership. The food was great....

Thank you very much for your review and really pleased you had a good experience. Yes, we bought the freehold last May and are very pleased with how busy we have been, every weekend is a buzz with the place full of locals and tourists. We are in the process of opening another snug bar/cellar to give us extra space...
