The photos misrepresent what the building looks like. We did not stay in the old building displayed. The wing in which we were put is an outbuilding ( although thatched ) with a narrow dark corridor and 1 rather grotty toilet and 1 shower to be shared between 7 rooms. Not only do you have to pay extra for sheets... More

Spending a week in one of Bakkegaardens beautifully decorated rooms, waking every morning to a chorus of birdsong, walking in the spectacular scenery of the Klint, having one's palate caressed by healthy organic food and speaking with the interesting, caring and positive host couple is like having a full body and mind service check. You are a better person when... More

I say it's a B&B because people think they are in a hotel, but here you'll need to share a toilet with 6 other rooms, you need to pay for the bed sheet, and breakfast is not included (only of you pay!). Despite all that (because it's a B&B) everything was PERFECT!! The B&B has an AMAZING view over the... More

The place is perfectly located, it is easy to get to Møns Klint (not to walk there, though) and to the Geo Center. There are, however, lovely places for a walk, there are places to sit and watch at the landscape or you can sit in the yard at the table. Lots of parking places available. We skipped the breakfast,... More

My wife and I spent two nights here in mid-August, and we loved every minute of it. We had a sea-view room and loved having the option of keeping our window open a bit in the evenings so we could hear the ocean waves in the distance. The owners are very nice. Yes, there are some peculiar things about the... More

We stayed one night at the Bakkegaard Gaestgiveri. The Guesthouse has a large garden with direct view to the sea. Our room also had a great view. All rooms are individually decorated from local artists. There is a restaurant with excellent food. With the perfect location next to Mons Klint and the very friendly staff, this place is the place... More

A wonderful little guest house, great atmosphere and friendly hosts. The rooms are comfortable, although you have to pay extra for your bedding and make your own bed. Another place that says it does food, but when we arrived we were told that they were not doing so that night and we would have to drive to find restaurant (not... More

This place is very nice, the location is perfect, within walking distance of the white cliffs of Mon. Friendly people too and the food was good. However, do not expect a hotel as you will have to make your own bed, toilet and shower are shared with 7 rooms and the room itself was rather small. All this at around... More

Within a couple of Km from Moens Klint (if you're used to walking you can actually walk there from the B&B), this is a good starting point to explore the wonderfull nature in this South-East corner of Denmark. We made a walk south to the coastline, followed the coast beneath the cliff until the staircase at the GeoCenter. From the... More

Wonderful site, but NOT within walking distance of the white cliffs of Mon. The extra charge for sheets and pillow covers should have alerted me to the situation, as well as the "shared bath, private bath might be arranged." It was requested, but not available. The single toilet and shower on the second floor (a floor reached by a steep... More
